Cervo announces vacancy for registry clerk by relief
Por FactBox Admin

The Cervo City Council publishes in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo (no. 194, of August 26, 2026) the call for the filling, as permanent contractual staff, of one position for Information and Registry Officer (Group C2), via a relief contract and through a free competitive examination system. The decision was adopted by Mayoral Resolution no. 2026-0748, of August 19, 2026, which approves the rules and the call for the selection process.
The position is included in the Public Employment Offer (OEP) of the Cervo City Council for the 2026 financial year, processed under general file 2070/2025 and announced in the BOP of Lugo no. 065, of March 21, 2026. Likewise, it appears in the contractual staff framework approved with the General Budget for 2026, published in the BOP of Lugo no. 002, of January 3, 2026. The file for the call is 1525/2026.
A relief contract for partial retirement
The position is called via a relief contract, a figure linked to the partial retirement of a City Council worker. The selection process, a free competitive examination, aims to ensure the simultaneous coverage of the position affected by partial retirement, with a minimum stay of two years from the event causing the total retirement of the relieved person.
The rules establish that the process must be carried out with maximum speed, given the urgency derived from the enabling cause, without prejudice to the non-extendable period of three years counted from the publication of the call. The selected person will be subject to the incompatibility regime provided for in Law 53/1984.
Requirements and submission of applications
Applicants must meet, among others, the following requirements:
- Qualification of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the Galician language at the CELGA 3 level or equivalent, or passing the specific test.
- Spanish nationality or that of another State under the terms of the TREBEP and the LEPG.
- Not be disqualified or separated from the service of any Public Administration.
Applications shall be submitted electronically through the General Electronic Registry of the Cervo City Council (https://cervo.sedelectronica.es) or by any of the means provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015. The deadline will be 20 business days counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
Phases of the selection process
The selection system will be a free competitive examination, with a maximum score of 100 points:
- Examination phase (75 points): theoretical and practical exercises of a mandatory and eliminatory nature.
- Competition phase (25 points): assessment of experience and training merits, of a prior and non-eliminatory nature.
The Qualifying Tribunal will publish the provisional and final lists of admitted and excluded candidates in the BOP of Lugo and on the municipal electronic office, and the applicants will be summoned in a single call. An appeal for reversal or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed against the resolution approving the bases.
The call represents an opportunity for stable access to local public employment in the Mariña region, in a key position for citizen service and the registry management of the City Council. Coverage through a relief contract further ensures the continuity of the service in the face of the partial retirement of staff, within a context of renewal of the municipal workforce.
