The Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha has issued a final decision regarding the granting and denial of individual school transport grants for the 2025/2026 academic year. This is done through the Resolution of 10/26/2026, from the General Secretariat, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM no. 211, of November 4, 2026), with official reference 2026/7830. The text grants aid to the students listed in section A) of the annex and denies it to those in section B).
The regulatory framework consists of the governing rules approved by Decree 34/2025, of May 6 (DOCM no. 88, of 05/09/2025), amended by Decree 29/2026, of May 19 (DOCM no. 98, of 05/26/2026), which establish the award requirements for both the provisional and final proposals. The call for applications was approved by a resolution of the General Secretariat on June 12, 2026 (DOCM no. 113, of 06/17/2026).
The resolution, signed in Toledo on October 26, 2026, by the general secretary Inmaculada Fernández Camacho, indicates that, in accordance with the available budget credit and the requirements of articles 4 and 5 of the decree, “all submitted applications that meet these requirements have been addressed.” The appeals submitted regarding the provisional proposal are considered accepted or rejected with this final resolution, issued in accordance with article 9 of Decree 34/2025.
Granted: individualized amounts per student
Section A) of the annex grants the aid charged to budget item 1802.423A.48712 for the 2026 fiscal year, with an amount calculated student by student. The list totals 240 beneficiaries and is organized by province: Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, and Toledo.

- Guadalajara: CRA Santa Lucía of Budia (377.58 and 375.41 euros) and IES Don Juan Manuel of Cifuentes.
- Usual amount: in a large part of the rural municipalities, the aid is set at 379.75 euros per student.
Special education centers and long-distance routes concentrate the highest amounts, compared to the amounts close to 330-390 euros that are more frequent in the rest of the annex.
Denials: causes coded in the annex
Section B) lists the rejected applications, also by province, with a letter identifying the reason. Examples include CEIP San Isidro Labrador from Aguas Nuevas (cause E), IES Pinar de Salomón (F-I), CEIP Diego Velázquez from Albacete (E-H), and PVIP Academia Cedes (C-G). The causes used are:

- B: enrolled but does not attend class regularly.
- C: enrolled in a private or semi-private (concertado) center.
- E: enrolled in a center other than the one corresponding to their zone or area.
- F: does not meet the distance requirement to the center, the nearest stop, or the limit of the urban area.
- G: attends a center in their locality without coming from a hamlet or dispersed rural population.
- H: uses the work address of the father, mother, or guardian.
- I: has a scheduled school transport route.
- N: does not prove exceptional, socioeconomic circumstances or special danger of the access roads.
- Q: lack of residence requirement in depopulated areas.
Publication replacing notification
The resolution warns that its publication in the DOCM replaces individual notification and has the same effects, in accordance with article 45.1.b) of Law 39/2015, of October 1. The processing of personal data complies with Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5: in the annex, the third party’s data are replaced by the application registration number and the NIF appears masked.
Against the resolution, which does not end the administrative process, an appeal for reversal (recurso de alzada) may be filed before the head of the competent department for non-university education within one month, according to articles 30, 31, 121, and 122 of Law 39/2015.
The publication closes the procedure for the 2025/2026 academic year and makes the annex the official reference for thousands of families: those listed in section A) can confirm the amount they will receive charged to the 2026 budgets, while those included in section B) have one month to appeal if they consider that the alleged cause does not fit their situation.
