Casatejada aprueba la tasa del gimnasio municipal con precios públicos

The Casatejada City Council has definitively approved the Fiscal Ordinance regulating the fee for the provision of the Municipal Gym public service, with an express resolution of the claims submitted. The full text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres on September 11, 2026, with official reference BOP-2026-4255 and file number 104/2026.

The ordinance was approved by the municipal Plenary in a session held on September 4, 2026, and signed by the mayor, Desiderio Riaño García, on September 8. It shall enter into force upon full publication in the provincial gazette and shall remain in effect until its modification or repeal is agreed upon.

Regulatory Framework

The fee is established under articles 133.2 and 142 of the Spanish Constitution, Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of Local Government, and articles 15 to 27 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. The taxable event consists of the use of the Municipal Gym facilities and the provision of public sports services.

Fees and Payment Method

The amount of the fee is set according to the type of user and frequency of use, with two modalities:

  • Individual/daily entry: 3.00 euros.
  • Monthly pass: 25.00 euros.

The price is paid before the start of the activity and, once paid, there is no right to a refund, unless the service cannot be provided for reasons not attributable to the taxpayer. Payment can be made at the municipal offices, through the online platform, or via bank transfer to the City Council’s accounts, following the submission of the application on the official form.

Obligors and Sanctioning Regime

Natural persons using the Municipal Gym facilities are obliged to pay as taxpayers. The ordinance regulates the joint and several and subsidiary liability for the tax debt in accordance with articles 42 and 43 of Law 58/2003, of December 17, General Tax Law, and provides that damages caused by the taxpayer must be reimbursed in full, without the possibility of condonation.

Appeals

Against the agreement, in accordance with article 19 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, interested parties may file a contentious-administrative appeal within two months from the day following the publication of the announcement, before the High Court of Justice of Extremadura, based in Cáceres. The full text of the ordinance is available to interested parties on the City Council’s electronic office.

The approval of this ordinance provides legal certainty for the use of municipal sports facilities and establishes affordable public prices for the residents of Casatejada, who will be able to access the gym via a monthly subscription or daily ticket, while also guaranteeing the economic sustainability of the service.
