Casar de Cáceres abre las ayudas de emergencia social para 2026

The Casar de Cáceres City Council has opened the call for extraordinary social support grants for 2026 contingencies, aimed at individuals and family units without sufficient income who must face unforeseen basic expenses. The regulatory bases were approved by Mayoral Resolution on May 22, 2026, and the summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, no. 0192, with the identifier BDNS 931210 and official reference BOP-2026-4687.

The call is supported by Decree 110/2021, of September 22, of the Ministry of Health and Social Services of the Regional Government of Extremadura, which establishes the objective and homogeneous conditions for access to these benefits within the autonomous community. The framework is completed by the Resolution of April 23, 2026, of the Minister, which orders the publication of the Government Council Agreement of March 17, 2026, approving the Municipal Economic Collaboration Program for extraordinary social support grants for 2026 contingencies.

The municipal Strategic Grant Plan, published in BOP no. 0153 of August 12, 2026 (BOP-2026-3808), estimates the foreseeable cost of this line at 22,506.04 euros, financed through the financial collaboration of the Regional Government of Extremadura. These are non-periodic financial benefits of a specific purpose, and only one grant per family unit per year is permitted, except in the case of a subsequent unforeseen contingency for another need.

Requirements for beneficiaries

  • Be of legal age or, if a minor, a total orphan or emancipated, and be registered and legally and effectively residing in Extremadura.
  • Reside in Casar de Cáceres for at least six months immediately prior to the submission of the application.
  • Lack sufficient rents or income.
  • Prove an extraordinary contingency that requires immediate and urgent action, through a report from the Basic Social Care Services (SSASB).
  • Not have received public aid that covers the totality of the requested expense.

The residency duration requirement will not be applied to returning Extremaduran emigrants, transients, refugees, or asylum seekers, nor when the emergency seriously compromises the subsistence of the household unit. Persons who have not justified a previous grant within two years of its award and those residing in centers obliged to cover their basic needs are excluded.

Calculation of income and exceptions

The computable net income of the household unit from the previous three months is summed and divided by three; income is considered sufficient when it exceeds 130% of the monthly IPREM based on fourteen payments, with increases of 8% for each member of the unit. The limit increases by 10% per member with a disability equal to or greater than 65% or with assessed dependency, and by 25% of the IPREM when the requested expenditure exceeds 50% of the computable income. Rent or the mortgage of the primary residence is also deducted up to a maximum of 50% of the monthly IPREM.

Among others, the following are not computed: benefits linked to service and personal assistance under Law 39/2006, family benefits for a child or dependent minor, scholarships and study grants, transport and school canteen grants, remuneration for the foster care of minors, and benefits for birth or adoption.

Deadline and submission of applications

The period opens the day following publication on the municipal notice board and in the BOP, and remains open until the 2026 credit is exhausted and, in any case, until November 31, 2026, according to the published text. Applications are addressed to the City Council of Casar de Cáceres and are submitted to its General Registry or through the channels provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, using the model in Annex I and the documentation required in the seventh basis.

For residents of Casar de Cáceres in emergency situations, this call is the municipal channel to cover basic subsistence needs before they lead to processes of social exclusion. The announcement bears the signature of the mayor-president, Marta Jordán Ordiales, and is governed by the General Subsidies Law 38/2003 and by article 12.5 of Law 7/2016, of July 21.
