Cartaya publica la lista provisional de nueve plazas de Policía Local

The Cartaya City Council has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded persons in the selection process convened to fill eight Local Police positions through the open access system via competitive examination and one additional Local Police position through the mobility system via merit competition. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huelva number 204, corresponding to Thursday, October 22, 2026, with the official reference BOP 204/26.

The publication of this provisional list is the first administrative filter of the process: from this point, applicants learn whether their application has been admitted or if it is among those excluded, and in the latter case, they have the rectification procedure provided for in the call’s rules to correct the defects that led to the exclusion. The specific deadline for submitting the appropriate documentation or allegations is the one established by the announcement published in the provincial gazette.

Two access routes and nine positions

The process combines two different selection systems, which are resolved separately and with different requirements:

  • Eight Local Police positions via open access, through the competitive examination system.
  • One Local Police position via mobility, through the merit competition system.

The open-access route is aimed at those entering the force for the first time, while the mobility position is reserved for civil servants from other local police forces changing their destination. Both calls share the same publication and, therefore, the same calendar for the display of the provisional list.

A decisive step for applicants

The provisional list does not close the process, but rather organizes it. Applicants who have been left out must prove the correction of the detected defects within the enabled period; those who have been admitted, on the other hand, await the final list and the announcement of the tests.

The Cartaya City Council has accumulated significant activity in personnel selection in recent months. Other municipal calls are listed in the same provincial gazette, and in previous weeks, the Council has published rules and calls for the creation of job banks, including that for IT Technical Assistant, in addition to stabilization processes and the filling of positions in various categories.

Regulatory framework and process control

The call for applications is governed by the coordination regulations for local police in Andalusia and by the guidelines approved by the City Council itself, which establish the qualification requirements, the physical and theoretical tests, the merits scale, and the composition of the tribunal. Publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huelva is the channel that provides publicity and effectiveness to each of the milestones of the procedure, such that administrative acts only take effect for the interested parties from the moment of their insertion in the gazette.

The official reference of the announcement is BOP 204/26, and the issue from October 22, 2026, also incorporates other local administration agreements, including an appointment as a career civil servant in Almonaster la Real, the public exhibition of the 2025 General Account in Berrocal, and a modification of the corporation’s remuneration in Chucena.

The relevance of this publication is twofold. For the applicants, it marks the moment when they must verify their administrative status and, if applicable, react quickly so as not to lose the opportunity to compete for the nine positions. For the municipality, it means advancing in the staffing of a public security force whose expansion conditions the provision of service during peak season and in a municipal district with a seasonal population much higher than the registered census.
