Por FactBox Admin

Carballo destina 65.000 euros a subvencións para entidades sociais en 2026

The Carballo City Council opens the 2026 grant call intended for non-profit entities that provide social services in the municipality, with a total budget of 65,000 euros. The Local Government Board approved the regulatory bases in the session of September 21, 2026, and the agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 188, dated October 1, 2026, with announcement number 2026/6286.

The call is processed under a competitive bidding regime and aims to finance projects, programs, and activities developed in the field of social services and socio-assistance care in Carballo throughout the 2026 financial year. For matters not provided for in the bases, the General Grants Law 38/2003, Royal Decree 887/2006, the Galicia Grants Law 9/2007, the Common Administrative Procedure Law 39/2015, the 2026 budget execution bases, and the municipal grants ordinance shall apply.

The approved text recognizes the role of social entities as the backbone of the community fabric and sets as priorities the prevention of social exclusion, the improvement of personal autonomy, the integration and protection of the most disadvantaged population or those in situations of vulnerability, as well as the reinforcement of the associative fabric and social cohesion within the municipal district.

65,000 euros and a maximum of 8,000 per entity

The approved expenditure amounts to 65,000.00 euros, charged to application 2310.48900 “Social action grants to entities” of the City Council’s general budget, with operation number 220260010642. The municipal grant shall not exceed 70% of the total project budget nor 8,000 euros per entity.

The amount is determined by multiplying the points obtained by each project by the value of the point, which results from dividing the total budget of the call by the sum of points of all submitted applications. If there is a surplus after the distribution, it is distributed successively using the same formula until the assigned amount is exhausted, and in no case shall the aid exceed the requested amount or the total cost of the activity.

General maintenance costs may not exceed 15% of direct costs, except for entities requesting aid specifically for those general costs, in which case the limit increases to 60%.

The final resolution corresponds to the Local Government Board.

Beneficiary entities must acknowledge the collaboration of the Carballo City Council on posters, programs, and other dissemination materials, written in Galician and using inclusive and non-sexist language.
