Cíjara opens job bank for sports coordinators until 2029

The Mancomunidad Integral de Servicios Cíjara, headquartered in Herrera del Duque (Badajoz), has announced a selection process via competitive examination and merit (concurso-oposición) to create a job bank for Sports Facilitators (Dinamizador/a Deportivo/a) intended for the entity’s sports promotion service. The call was approved by a Presidential resolution on August 31, 2026, and was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 172, dated September 9, 2026, under announcement 3534/2026.
Hiring will be carried out under a temporary employment regime, regulated by Article 15 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of October 23, as amended by Royal Decree-Law 32/2021, of December 28, and will be linked to the Sports Promotion Program in effect until December 31, 2029. The job bank will remain active until that date or until the candidates are exhausted, and its purpose is to cover, in an agile and transparent manner, the personnel needs derived from sports activities in the member municipalities of the La Siberia region.
Requirements and applicant profile
To be admitted, applicants must meet all the requirements by the closing date for the submission of applications:
- Be Spanish or a citizen of an EU Member State, or of States with free movement of workers.
- Be over 16 years of age and meet the required physical and psychological conditions.
- Not be subject to any cause of incapacity nor have been dismissed from a public administration.
- Hold a Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD).
- Provide a negative certificate from the central registry of sex offenders.
- Possess a driver’s license and a vehicle to travel to the member municipalities.
The working day will be 37.5 hours per week on average over the annual calculation, with a split and flexible schedule according to the needs of the service. Travel expenses from the employment center in Herrera del Duque are compensated at 0.26 euros per kilometer.
Selection process: examination and merit
The selection combines an examination phase (oposición), with a maximum of 20 points, and a merit phase (concurso), with a maximum of 6 points. The examination consists of two eliminatory tests of up to 10 points each:
- First test: presentation of a project or report on the sports potential of the mancomunidad, assessing diagnosis, proposals, feasibility, indicators, and technical quality.
- Second test: defense of the project before the Tribunal, which the 5 applicants with the highest scores in the previous test will access, assessing suitability for the position, operational feasibility, communication, and defense of decisions.
In the merit phase, complementary training and work experience are valued:
- Master’s degree related to sports: 1 point.
- Certified courses of more than 70 hours: 0.20 points per course (maximum 1 point).
- Courses between 30 and 70 hours: 0.10 points per course (maximum 1 point).
- Experience in public administrations: 0.20 points/month (maximum 2 points).
- Experience in private companies: 0.10 points/month (maximum 1 point).
In the event of a tie, the following shall be applied successively: the highest score in the competitive examination, in test 1, in experience in public administrations and, as a last resort, a public draw.
Submission of applications and calls
Applications may be submitted by electronic means with an electronic signature or in person, from 8:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday, at the Mancomunidad offices in the CID La Siberia, on the Peloche road s/n in Herrera del Duque. The deadline is 15 business days from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP.
Calls will be made by telephone and electronic notification, with a response period of 2 business days; failure to respond or rejection without justified cause implies exclusion from the pool. Justified causes for resignation are considered, such as temporary disability, death of a relative, marriage, current contract, gender violence, or the birth or adoption of a child. The Tribunal will be presided over by a permanent employee of the Mancomunidad, with the Secretary serving as secretary and two members appointed by the Presidency.
The call represents a relevant opportunity for CAFYD graduates from the La Siberia region, who may opt for stable employment linked to a program funded by the Junta de Extremadura for the 2026-2029 period. The full text of the rules is available on the electronic headquarters of the Mancomunidad, and the final resolution bears the signature of the president, Antonio Miguel Sánchez.
