Por FactBox Admin

The Board of Directors of the Municipalized Mobility and Transport Service (SMYT) of the Burgos City Council approved on September 21, 2026, the guidelines and the call for individual grants to finance alternative transport for people with reduced mobility through the use of taxi vouchers during the year 2026. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 189, dated October 5, 2026, with the official reference BopBur-2026-04099. Interested parties have thirty calendar days, starting from the day following the publication, to submit their application.
The call is supported by articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and its summary appears in the National Subsidies Database with the identifier BDNS 931067. The regulatory guidelines are the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Burgos City Council, and the grants will be awarded according to the principles of publicity, competition, and objectivity.
Who can apply for the vouchers
Beneficiaries may be individuals who prove their reduced mobility scale through a certificate issued by the Assessment and Care Unit for People with Disabilities of the Junta de Castilla y León, in accordance with Royal Decree 888/2022, of October 18, and who have an annual per capita income lower than four times the 2025 IPREM, set at 8,400.00 euros.
The following are excluded:
- Individuals who own more than one vehicle.
- Those who fall under the prohibitions of sections 2 and 3 of article 13 of the General Subsidies Law.
- Those with outstanding debts in the municipal collection during the executive period.
Number of vouchers and income brackets
The reduced mobility scale entitles the applicant to up to 100 vouchers. The per capita income of the cohabiting family unit modulates the amount:
- Income lower than the IPREM: up to 100% of the vouchers.
- Income between one and two times the IPREM: up to 65%.
- Income higher than double the IPREM and lower than four times: up to 20%.
Beneficiaries admitted to a residential center for people with disabilities will receive a maximum of 50 vouchers. Those who own their own passenger vehicle, whether adapted or not, will receive 50% of the vouchers corresponding to their income level. Furthermore, if the vouchers used in the previous call were less than 50% of those awarded, the new call may not grant more vouchers than those effectively used.
Deadline, documentation, and justification
Applications shall be addressed to the mayor of the Burgos City Council and submitted at the municipal General Registry, in the Plaza Mayor, or through any of the channels specified in Article 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. The deadline is thirty calendar days from the day following publication, that is, until November 4, 2026.
They must be accompanied by the official application form (Annex I), a photocopy of the DNI, 2025 income certificates for all members of the family unit, and a responsible declaration (Annex II). The City Council will officially incorporate certificates of coexistence, tax certificates, Social Security certificates, and certificates from the Junta de Castilla y León. Correctable defects may be rectified within 10 business days.
The grant is subject to the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in the 2027 municipal budget; if the program proves insufficient, the valuation commission will proportionally reduce the number of vouchers. Justification shall be carried out via monthly invoices from the taxi associations signing the agreement, accompanied by the used taxi-vouchers.
The measure directly affects residents of the capital with reduced mobility and low incomes, who may fund their urban taxi trips with public aid, the amount of which depends on their income and their recognized degree of disability.
