Brussels renews the accreditation of ten Missions locales for three years

The Government of the Brussels-Capital Region has approved the renewal, for a period of three years, of the accreditation of ten Local Employment Missions and Lokale Werkwinkels. The decision of September 3, 2026, is published in the Belgian Official Gazette of September 24, 2026, under reference C − 2026/006799, page 51408.

A decision based on the 2008 ordinance

The renewal is granted in accordance with the ordinance of November 27, 2008, relating to the support of Local Employment Missions and Lokale Werkwinkels, as well as its implementing decrees. The published text is a bilingual notice, Dutch-French, which contains the same enumeration in both languages. The decision was taken on September 3, 2026, and was only brought to the public’s attention three weeks later, through its publication in the official journal.

The ten structures whose accreditation is renewed

• Mission locale d’Anderlecht asbl;
• Mission locale pour l’emploi de Bruxelles-Ville asbl;
• Mission locale pour l’emploi d’Etterbeek asbl;
• Mission locale pour l’emploi de Forest asbl;
• Mission locale d’Ixelles pour l’emploi et la formation asbl;
• Mission locale de Molenbeek asbl;
• Mission locale pour l’emploi de Saint-Gilles asbl;
• Mission locale pour l’emploi de Saint-Josse asbl;
• Mission locale de Schaerbeek pour l’emploi et la formation asbl;
• Tracé Brussel vzw.

Nine of these structures are non-profit associations designated by the acronym “asbl”; the tenth, Tracé Brussel, is a non-profit association under Dutch law (“vzw”). The list associates nine Local Missions bearing the name of a Brussels municipality — Anderlecht, Brussels-City, Etterbeek, Forest, Ixelles, Molenbeek, Saint-Gilles, Saint-Josse, and Schaerbeek — with a structure named Tracé Brussel.

A regulated and subsidized sector

The ordinance of November 27, 2008, constitutes the legal framework for public support for Local Employment Missions and Lokale Werkwinkels, local operators of professional integration in the Brussels-Capital Region. The accreditation renewed by the Government is the condition under which these structures carry out their missions within the regional system.

Furthermore, the Belgian Official Gazette of September 16, 2026, published a collective labor agreement for the socio-cultural sector which expressly includes, within its scope for Local Missions, workers assigned to the missions of the ordinance of November 27, 2008, as well as personnel from active job search workshops. This text recalls that the personnel of these structures fall under the regime of non-profit agreements.

Scope of the publication

The notice published on September 24, 2026, does not set an effective date distinct from the decision of September 3, 2026, and contains no mention of a deadline for appeal before the Council of State, unlike other notices included in the same issue of the official journal. It is limited to the enumeration of the ten beneficiaries and a reminder of the legal basis.

The renewal ensures an accreditation horizon of three years for these ten structures, which secures the continuity of the support for Brussels job seekers provided at the local level.
