Bolsa urgente de enfermería: 48 admitidos y nuevo tribunal provincial

The Provincial Council of Ávila has approved the provisional list of applicants admitted to the extraordinary and urgent job bank for the category of nurse and has appointed the qualifying board that will govern the process. This is done through Decree No. 2026-4144, dated October 29, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila No. 214, dated November 5, 2026, under announcement number 2186/26 and signed by the delegated deputy for Human Resources, Internal Regime, Organization, and Transparency, Juan Carlos Sánchez Mesón.

48 admitted and none excluded

The resolution approves the provisional list of admitted applicants for the Special Administration Scale, Technical Subscale, Middle Class, Group A, Subgroup A2, with the status of interim civil servant personnel. The annex includes 48 applications and, according to the text of the decree, there are no excluded applicants among the submitted requests.

Interested parties have a period of five business days, counting from the day following the publication in the gazette, to file claims or corrections. If no allegation is presented during that period, the provisional list will automatically become final without the need for a new publication or express resolution.

The annex of the announcement is headed as “Final list of applicants for the nurses’ job bank,” while the operative part of the decree approves the list on a provisional basis, and therefore subject to the claims process.

Composition of the qualifying board

The selection body will be composed entirely of career civil servants of the provincial corporation, with one titular member and one substitute for each position:

  • Presidency: Raúl López Vega, with Judit Cob García as substitute.
  • Titular members: María Luisa Rodríguez Jiménez, David Montero Moreno, and Natalia Domingo Llorente.
  • Substitute members: Alberto José Ferrer González, Ana Vanesa García Conde, and Clara Victoria González Encomienda.
  • Secretariat: María de las Mercedes Duarte Martín, with María Paz Canales Garzón as substitute.

The date for the first exercise and the remaining publications of the process will be disseminated on the corporate website and on the Notice Board of the Electronic Office of the Council of Ávila.

A single test to cover the service

The process derives from Decree No. 2026-3261, dated August 26, 2026, which assumed the competence of the Governing Board and approved the bases and the call, and from its modification via Decree 2026-3290, dated August 31, 2026. The bases were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila No. 176, dated September 11, 2026, with a reduced application period of five business days.

The selection system is a single-exercise competitive examination consisting of a test of 50 questions plus 5 reserve questions, with a maximum duration of 60 minutes. The test is graded from 0 to 10 points, with a minimum of 5 to pass; each correct answer adds 0.20 points and each error subtracts 0.05, with no penalty for unanswered questions. The priority destination of the job pool is the Centro Residencial Infantas Elena y Cristina.

Against the decree, which is final in administrative proceedings, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed within two months before the Juzgado de lo Contencioso-administrativo de Ávila.

Impact for applicants and provincial care

The call for applications responds to an exceptional situation: the nursing employment pool published in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Ávila no. 144, dated July 29, 2026, was exhausted and left without available applicants after all its members rejected joining the staff. With 48 candidates in the running and a tribunal already appointed, the provincial institution is attempting to restore the coverage of vacancies, substitutions, and leaves as soon as possible in a residential center with a critical care load.
