Por FactBox Admin

The Department of Business, Self-Employed and Energy has resolved to grant and pay as an advance 3,390,748.98 euros in aid to 248 self-employed workers and SMEs in the industrial sector of the Balearic Islands to compensate for the weight of fuels and the increase in the price of raw materials caused by the war in the Middle East. The resolution, signed on September 15, 2026, by the Director General of Industry and Industrial Estates, Alfons Gómez Rosselló, by delegation of the counselor, is published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) no. 125, of October 3, 2026, section III, page 53722, under number 9906.
The call for these grants was approved by means of the Resolution of the Counselor of Business, Self-Employed and Energy of May 28, 2026, published in BOIB no. 68, of May 30, 2026. The procedure continued with the provisional resolution proposal of the Director General of Industry and Industrial Estates of August 17, 2026, published in BOIB no. 104, of August 20, 2026, which opened a period of ten business days to submit allegations.
An advance of 3.39 million for 248 files
The final resolution approves the granting of the subsidy for a total amount of 3,390,748.98 euros and 248 beneficiaries, and authorizes and arranges the expenditure, recognizes the obligation, and proposes payment by advance charged to the budget item 19401 723AOM 47000 00 of the general budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands for 2025, extended for 2026.
The annex of the resolution details each file, with the number MACO-…/2026, the NIF, and the amount granted. Among the beneficiaries are:
- GERMANS ADROVER SL (file MACO-2/2026), 12,500 euros.
- VIAS Y OBRAS PUBLICAS SA (MACO-3/2026), 20,000 euros.
- FUSTERIA VALLOP SL (MACO-7/2026), 20,000 euros.
- GALVANOTECNIA MAHO, S.L.U. (MACO-319/2026), 22,500 euros.
- COOP INSULAR GANADERA DE MENORCA (MACO-96/2026), 22,500 euros.
- GALLETES GORI DE MURO S.L. (MACO-86/2026), 20,000 euros.
The first beneficiary on the list is GERMANS ADROVER SL and the last, GERMANS SASTRE ESPJ (MACO-323/2026). Several applications were granted for an amount lower than requested because they included vehicles that did not meet the eligibility conditions of the third section, point 3 c) of the call.
A single accepted allegation
During the allegations process, only one was submitted: that of JUAN MAS GINARD, on September 4, 2026, stating that the vehicle with license plate IB8066DC had not been valued and that it met the requirements of the call. The technical services of the General Directorate accepted it according to a report dated September 14, 2026, and proposed a grant of 20,000 euros; file MACO-81/2026 appears in the annex with this amount.
The grants were processed as state aid subject to the de minimis rule, which limits the total amount per company to 300,000 euros during the three years prior to the granting, in accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 1407/2013, as amended by Regulation (EU) 2023/2831.
Billing, justification, and appeal deadlines
- The investments subject to the application must be invoiced and paid between February 28, 2026, and December 31, 2026, both inclusive.
- The deadline to justify the subsidized activities and the payment ends on February 1, 2027, or on the date established by the granting resolution if it is later.
- The justification must be submitted electronically through the telemetric procedure available at the Electronic Office of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands.
- Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Minister of Enterprise, Freelancers, and Energy within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands within two months.
The grant injects 3.39 million euros directly into the Balearic industrial fabric in a context of rising energy and raw material costs, and benefits 248 freelancers and SMEs who already have the payment authorized, with the obligation to justify the investment before February 1, 2027.
