Scholarships of up to 1,000 euros for Naut Aran students
Por FactBox Admin

The Naut Aran City Council has announced the scholarship program for students residing in the municipality for the 2026-2027 academic year, with grants ranging from 50 euros for computers to 1,000 euros for university tuition and mobility. The call is published via an extract from the National Grants Database (BDNS) in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida no. 200, dated October 20, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026_0_200_8723. The text is signed by the mayor, César Ruiz-Canela Nieto, in Salardú on October 13, 2026.
Six lines of aid per course
The program breaks down the aid into six different concepts, each with a maximum amount per student:
- Books and educational material: for students in ESO (secondary education), baccalaureate, and intermediate or higher vocational training cycles, with a maximum of 100 euros per student.
- Computers: for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Primary students from Naut Aran studying at any school in the Aran Valley, with a maximum of 50 euros.
- Tuition: for university studies or vocational training cycles not pursued in the Aran Valley, with a maximum of 1,000 euros for university studies and 700 euros for professional training.
- Mobility: for the same studies outside the Aran Valley, with a maximum of 1,000 euros for university and 700 euros for vocational training.
- Tuition for those over 30: up to 1,000 euros for university and 700 euros for vocational training if annual income is equal to or less than 12,000 euros.
- Mobility for those over 30: same amounts and same income threshold.
Income threshold for those over 30
The last two concepts introduce an economic criterion that does not apply to the other beneficiaries. Students over 30 with annual incomes exceeding 12,000 euros will have their aid limited, for both tuition and mobility, to a maximum of 300 euros, regardless of the type of studies.
Conversely, if the annual income is equal to or less than 12,000 euros, the cap rises to 1,000 euros for university studies and 700 euros for vocational training cycles, the same amounts received by younger students without this income condition.
Processing and official publication
The call is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, which require an extract of the bases to be made public in the BDNS and the corresponding official gazette. The extract refers to the full text available in the BDNS and indicates that the documentation to be submitted can be consulted at the municipal address nautaran.org/ca/docs/estudiants/.
The identifying data of the call are:

- Call code: 934762.
- Call reference: EXP. 2026/1338.
- Ad ID: 222739.
The published extract does not establish application deadlines or the total amount of the call, which must be consulted in the full terms and conditions.
Impact on Aranese families
The call arrives in a mountain municipality where students wishing to pursue post-compulsory studies must travel outside the Aran Valley, which explains the weight the program gives to tuition and, above all, to mobility, the two concepts with the highest amounts. For the families of Naut Aran, the grants cover everything from the purchase of computers in Primary school to the cost of traveling to university, with a cap of 1,000 euros per student and concept.
