Barbastro hires two administrative assistants as permanent staff

The Barbastro City Council has resolved the selection process and has hired two administrative assistants from group C, subgroup C2, as permanent staff. The decision was adopted through Decree 2649, of August 28, 2026, issued by the Councilor Delegate for Finance, Internal Affairs, and Tourism, Blanca Galindo Sanz, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 165, of August 31, 2026 (reference BOPH-2026-165002).
The resolution declares the selection process valid and, based on the proposal issued by the tribunal, proceeds with the hiring of the two candidates who passed the tests. The combined annual expenditure derived from both positions amounts to 64,211.52 euros, distributed between salaries and the Social Security contribution borne by the council.
The hired individuals and their positions
The two new permanent employees of the Barbastro council are:
- Raquel Pagola García (ID *5881), awarded position 9.2, corresponding to Cultural Management.
- Beatriz Penella Herbera (ID *3231), awarded position 9.6, corresponding to Library.
The positions assigned to each candidate are fixed according to the record of position selection, as detailed in the third section of the resolution.
The annual expenditure of the two positions
The resolution authorizes and allocates the resulting expenditure for the year 2026 (12 months), with the following detail:
- Cultural Management Position (RPT 9.2): salaries, €25,612.48; Social Security borne by the City Council, €8,234.41; total annual expenditure, €33,846.89.
- Library Position (RPT 9.6): salaries, €22,977.40; Social Security borne by the City Council, €7,387.23; total annual expenditure, €30,364.63.
Altogether, the annual expenditure committed by the council amounts to 64,211.52 euros.
Signing period and means of appeal
The proposed candidates must sign the contract for the awarded positions within a maximum period of thirty business days starting from the publication of the hiring. The resolution, which is final in the administrative route, will be notified to the interested parties and the Personnel Unit.
In accordance with Article 69 of Law 36/2011, of October 10, regulating social jurisdiction, a corresponding lawsuit may be filed against this resolution before the Social Section of the Court of First Instance based in the provincial capital, within a period of two months starting from the day following the notification.
The incorporation of these two administrative assistants as permanent staff consolidates the municipal workforce of Barbastro and concludes a selection process that affects both the City Council’s human resources structure and the applicants who participated in the call, guaranteeing the stable coverage of two key positions in the cultural management and library services.
