Barbadás abre a repartición de 16.000 euros entre as asociacións veciñais

The Barbadás City Council published on November 3, 2026, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense, the extract of the guidelines for the granting of subsidies to neighborhood associations registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations, corresponding to the 2026 fiscal year. The call distributes a maximum of 16,000.00 euros among the entities of the municipal neighborhood movement, with 2,000.00 euros as the cap per association. The announcement, signed by Mayor Xosé Carlos Valcárcel Doval on October 16, 2026, is processed under identification number BDNS 935920.

The publication is made under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, which requires the dissemination of an extract of the call in the National Database of Subsidies and in the provincial gazette. The full text of the regulatory guidelines is available on the electronic office of the Barbadás City Council (barbadas.sedelectronica.gal).

The objective is to encourage the activities of neighborhood associations and promote the interests of the local associative movement. The aid focuses on programs and activities of a cultural, social, educational, recreational, or sporting nature that strengthen neighborhood participation and relationships of collaboration and integration among residents.

Who can apply for the aid

Beneficiaries may be neighborhood associations validly constituted and registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations of the Barbadás City Council prior to the publication of the call. The requirements demand:

  • Having the registered office within the municipal district of Barbadás.
  • Carrying out their activities within the territorial scope of the council.
  • Being non-profit.
  • Being up to date with tax obligations and with Social Security.
  • Complying with the remaining requirements of section VI of the regulatory guidelines.

Amounts, deadlines, and method of submission

The maximum total budget is 16,000.00 euros, charged to budget application 924.480.01 of the 2026 municipal budget. The maximum individual amount is 2,000.00 euros per applying association, without prejudice to the fact that the global amount may be apportioned among the beneficiary entities according to the guidelines. The procedure is processed under a non-competitive concurrence regime.

The deadline for submitting applications is ten (10) business days, counted from the day following the publication of the extract in the provincial gazette, that is, from November 4; barring holidays, it would close on November 17. Applications must be submitted mandatorily by electronic means through the municipal electronic office, in the procedure enabled for this call and together with the required documentation.

Justification and competent bodies

Eligible activities and expenses must be carried out and effectively paid between December 1, 2025, and November 30, 2026. The deadline for submitting the supporting documentation is December 18, 2026.

The instructing body is the Department of Neighborhood Participation, while the resolution corresponds to the Mayor’s Office, without prejudice to any applicable delegations. The announcement bears registration number R. 2.506 in the provincial bulletin.

The call reaches the entire associative fabric of the council with a short deadline and exclusively electronic processing, two factors that condition the response capacity of the smallest entities. For the neighborhood associations of Barbadás, these grants are one of the main funding sources for their annual activities, meaning that the fixed calendar—closing of applications in November and justification in December—sets the planning for the rest of the fiscal year.
