Badajoz definitively approves the modification of its staff and RPT

The Badajoz City Council has definitively approved the modification of the staffing table and the list of job positions (RPT) for the civil servants and contractual staff of the Council and its autonomous bodies. The decision, adopted by the Plenary of the municipal Corporation, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 163, dated August 26, 2026, via announcement 3377/2026.

An agreement consolidated without objections

The Plenary, in an ordinary session held on July 23, 2026, initially approved the modifications to the staffing table and the lists of job positions corresponding to the current fiscal year. Following the publication of the provisional agreement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 143, dated July 29, a public exhibition period of fifteen business days was opened, during which no claims or suggestions were submitted.

By virtue of the provisions established in articles 49, 65.2, and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of Local Regime, the agreement, which until then was provisional, is understood to be definitively adopted.

Regulatory framework and effects

The modification is processed in accordance with the local regime for the organization of human resources, which requires the plenary approval of the staffing table and the RPT and their official publication to take effect. Since no objections were formulated, the restructuring is now final and will serve as the basis for the human resources planning of the City Council and its autonomous bodies.

Appeals and signature

A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against this definitive approval before the corresponding Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Extremadura within two months from the day following the publication of the announcement, without prejudice to any other appeal deemed appropriate.

The announcement is signed by the Mayor, by delegation, the Seventh Deputy Mayor, José Antonio Casablanca del Barco.
