Asturias concede 7,46 millones en ayudas PAC a 4.512 ganaderos de vacuno

The Regional Ministry of Rural Environment and Agricultural Policy of the Principality of Asturias has resolved the granting of the associated aid for extensive beef cattle farmers for the 2026 campaign, reaching 4,512 beneficiaries for a total amount of 7,460,645.23 euros. The resolution, signed on October 20, 2026, by the Director General of Livestock and Agricultural Health, is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias no. 213, of November 4, 2026, with the official reference Code 2026-08799.

A 75% advance on 6,077 applications

The starting call is the Resolution of March 9, 2026, of the Regional Ministry, which organized the CAP direct aids corresponding to the 2026 campaign and whose extract was published in BOPA no. 51, of March 16, 2026. Among the direct payments called is precisely this line of support for extensive beef cattle.

Once the submission period concluded, 6,077 applications were registered. Following the instructional proceedings, the Regional Ministry determines that 4,512 applicants meet the requirements of Article 84 of Royal Decree 1048/2022, of December 27, to receive the advance payment provided for in Article 118 of the same regulation, in addition to being up to date with the Tax Agency, Social Security, and the regional treasury.

The payment is set at 75% of the aid amount, the maximum enabled by Regulation (EU) 2026/1768, of July 14, 2026, which flexibilized the payment of advances in response to the rising cost of fertilizers derived from the Middle East crisis.

Unit amounts and effective payments

The applied modules come from the official communication of the president of FEGA dated September 10, 2026:

  • 85.047940 euros per animal in the Peninsular Spain region.
  • 93.552734 euros per animal in the native breed sub-line.

The payment arrangement is detailed in three annexes:

  • Annex I: 4,512 beneficiaries, with 7,460,645.23 euros recognized.
  • Annex II: 4,495 beneficiaries who effectively receive 7,433,584.21 euros.
  • Annex III: 41 beneficiaries with preventive withholdings due to their status as debtors of EAGF/EAFRD funds.

The disbursement is charged to the budget application 19.02 712F-473.010, with project code 2026/000304 and charged to the EAGF items enabled for this purpose. The nominal list, ordered by file number and tax document, spans from NIF/CIF 71876404R to 71700136M and occupies over a hundred pages of the gazette, with individual amounts in the first records ranging between 255.14 and 2,360.08 euros.

Appeal deadlines

This act exhausts the administrative route. An administrative appeal may be filed against it before the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Principality of Asturias within two months from the day following its notification, or an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the same body within one month; both routes cannot be pursued simultaneously.

The resolution is published in the BOPA for the purposes of Article 45 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, which allows notification through official means when the number of interested parties suggests this channel.

Impact on the Asturian rural environment

The aid associated with beef cattle is one of the CAP lines with the greatest territorial penetration in Asturias: the 7.46 million mobilized in this single resolution reach more than four thousand holdings, many of them in mountain councils where extensive livestock farming sustains employment and landscape maintenance. The advance, paid before the end of the year, provides liquidity to holdings facing winter with rising costs of feed and inputs.
