Por FactBox Admin

The Arroyo de la Luz City Council announces, under a competitive bidding process, grants for the acquisition of books and school materials for the Early Childhood Education cycle (ages 3 to 5) for the 2026/2027 academic year. The modified guidelines are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres, no. 0208 of Thursday, October 29, 2026, with official reference BOP-2026-5053, and the deadline for submitting applications is ten business days. The call is signed in Arroyo de la Luz on October 28, 2026, by the mayor, Carlos Caro Domínguez.
The legal framework of the call is Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the General Grant Regulations, together with Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Grant Law and Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure. The published text contains the modified guidelines governing the granting of these school aids.
The individualized amount is 100 euros and the maximum total allocation amounts to 2,000 euros, charged to budget application 326 48100.
Requirements: income up to 5,200 euros per month
Beneficiaries may be students enrolled in Early Childhood Education in the schools of the municipality of Arroyo de la Luz whose gross monthly income of the Basic Cohabitation Unit does not exceed these thresholds:
- 2 people: 2,600.00 euros.
- 3 people: 3,000.00 euros.
- 4 people: 3,400.00 euros.
- 5 people: 3,700.00 euros.
- 6 people: 4,000.00 euros.
- 7 people: 4,300.00 euros.
- 8 people: 4,600.00 euros.
- 9 people: 4,900.00 euros.
- 10 or more people: 5,200.00 euros, plus 300 euros for each additional member.
It is also required not to be subject to the circumstances that prohibit holding the status of beneficiary according to article 13 of Law 38/2003. The aid is incompatible with other scholarships or grants awarded for the same purpose by any public or private entity or organization.
Ten business days and supporting documentation
Applications are submitted using the official model in Annex I, addressed to the Mayor, at the City Council’s Entry Registry or through any of the means specified in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015. These documents must be attached:
- Photocopy of the DNI or NIE of the applicant.
- Photocopy of the complete Family Book or equivalent document.
- Proof of income: 2025 IRPF tax return or, failing that, a certificate of tax assessments, payroll, pension voucher, or SEPE benefit certificate from the last month prior to the call.
- Certifications of compliance with tax and Social Security obligations.
- Regulatory agreement or judicial resolution in case of separation or divorce.
- Third-Party Registration form with the bank account for payment.
If the application does not meet the requirements, a period of five business days is granted to rectify them; if this period passes without a response, the petition will be considered withdrawn.
Selection Committee and resolution within fifteen days
The evaluation is carried out by a Selection Committee composed of a councilor from the area determined by the Mayor’s Office as president, a social worker from the Mancomunidad Tajo-Salor, a worker from the Arroyo de la Luz City Council, and an official from the same council as secretary.
The Committee submits a provisional proposal with two lists: beneficiaries and denied applications with their respective causes, and opens a five-business-day period for appeals. Subsequently, it formulates the final proposal, and the Mayor-President issues a resolution within a maximum period of fifteen days from that submission. If the applicants who meet the requirements exceed twenty, the individual amount of 100 euros is reduced proportionally to distribute the 2,000 euros available.
Justifying invoice before December 15
Payment is made by deposit into the account indicated in the Third Party Registration. The beneficiary must present to the General Registry, before December 15, 2026, the regulatory invoice proving the purchase of books or school materials for a minimum amount equal to the grant received, and carried out exclusively in shops or bookstores within the municipality of Arroyo de la Luz.
The call for applications reaches the families of the municipality two months prior to the closing of the justification period and with an income threshold that reaches 5,200 euros per month for households of ten or more members. The limit of 2,000 euros and the proportional reduction above twenty beneficiaries condition the actual scope of a 100-euro grant per Preschool student.
