Armilla calls for a Local Police position via service commission

The Armilla City Council has approved the call and guidelines for the provision via secondment (commission of services) of a vacant Local Police position, reserved for career civil servants of the Local Police forces of Andalusia. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada number 179, dated September 16, 2026, with official reference BOP-GRA-2026-179008, and was approved by Mayoral Resolution number 2026/4120, dated September 8, 2026.
The position corresponds to group C1, level 19, Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, with the designation “Local Police” and code 6.1.12 in the current Job Position List. The chosen selection system is a merit competition with a curricular-competency interview, with a maximum score of 21 points.
Regulatory Framework and Duration
The provision is governed by Article 55 of Law 6/2023, of July 7, on Local Police of Andalusia, as well as by Law 5/2023, of June 7, on the Public Service of Andalusia and Decree 8/2026, of January 28, which regulates the entry, internal promotion, mobility, training, and unified call for civil servant personnel of the Local Police forces of Andalusia.
The secondment shall be voluntary and will be maintained for the time strictly necessary to fill the vacancy on a permanent basis, with a maximum of one year, extendable for one more.
Requirements and Submission of Applications
To be admitted, the applicant must meet, among others, the following requirements:
- Belong to any of the Local Police forces of Andalusia with the rank of police officer.
- Be in active service, with at least two years remaining before transitioning to secondary activity due to age.
- Have served a minimum of one year in the last position acquired on a permanent basis.
- Have the consent of the competent body of the city council of origin.
- Have no records of serious or very serious misconduct in their personal file.
Applications must be submitted within 10 business days from the publication in the BOP, via the General Electronic Registry of the Armilla City Council, accompanied by the required documentation and proof of payment of the examination fees, which amount to 30.00 euros (group C1).
Phases of the Selection Process
The final grade will be the sum of the competition phase (16 points) and the curricular-competency interview phase (5 points). In the competition phase, academic qualifications, seniority, training and teaching, and other merits such as decorations from the Order of Merit of the Local Police of Andalusia are valued. The interview, which is individual and lasts a maximum of 15 minutes, requires a minimum of 2.5 points to pass the exercise.
The Qualifying Board, appointed by the Mayor’s Office, will be composed of a president, a secretary, and four members, all of whom are career civil servants, with a balanced composition of women and men. The board will submit a proposal for the two candidates with the highest scores, and the result will be made public within a maximum period of 48 hours.
The call, signed by the mayor-president, Ms. Dolores Cañavate Jiménez, is published in full in the BOP, on the Virtual Notice Board of the Electronic Office, and on the municipal website (www.armilla.es). This offer provides officers of the Andalusian local police with the possibility of temporarily accessing a position in the metropolitan municipality of Armilla, in a process that combines the assessment of merits with the evaluation of professional competencies.
