ANA registers modification of water concession for Colegio San Agustín

The National Public Registry of Water Rights and Service Providers of the National Water Authority (ANA) registered the modification of the groundwater concession title of Colegio Preparatorio San Agustín, S.A., which incorporates a new extraction point and a maximum annual volume of 22,543.60 cubic meters intended for human consumption. The decision is contained in Administrative Resolution No. RAE-ANA-DGRH-0139-2026, issued on August 14, 2026, and notified on September 10, 2026. The registration certification RPNDAPS-LITC-MTC-0103-2026 is published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 173 of Wednesday, September 23, 2026, page 9272.

The ANA is the institution created by Law No. 620 “General Law of National Waters,” published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 169 on September 4, 2007, amended by Law No. 1046, published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 217 on November 23, 2020. The registry performing the registration operates in accordance with Administrative Resolution No. 140-2019 “Appointment of the National Public Registrar of Water Rights,” issued on December 20, 2019.

The title now being modified was granted through Administrative Resolution No. RAE-ANA-DGRH-216-2023, issued on August 16, 2023, and registered in Entry number 0175, Folio 241, Volume IV, of the Concession Title Registration Book on September 8, 2023.

The registered modification

The certification orders the registration of Administrative Resolution No. RAE-ANA-DGRH-0139-2026 for the “Modification of the concession title for the exploitation of groundwater from one (01) well,” granted through Administrative Resolution No. RAE-ANA-DGRH-216-2023 in favor of Colegio Preparatorio San Agustín, Sociedad Anónima.

• Resolution issued on August 14, 2026, and notified on September 10, 2026.

New extraction point and authorized volume

The modification affects the name and coordinates of the point previously listed as “Pozo Jacuzzi,” which shall henceforth be designated as “Pozo Colegio Preparatorio San Agustín.”

Request, signature, and publication period

The application was submitted on September 10, 2026, by José Álvaro Oyanguren Castillo, Esq., acting as General Proxy for the commercial company Colegio Preparatorio San Agustín, S.A., incorporated by Public Deed number 46, signed on June 11, 2001, before the notary offices of Mercedes Vijil Teysseyre, Esq.

The certification was signed by Luis Fernando Yescas García, National Public Registrar of Water Rights, at ten fifteen in the morning on September 10, 2026. The Sixth Ruling of the registered resolution establishes that the certification must be published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette, within a maximum period of fifteen (15) calendar days.

The publication closes the registration process for a groundwater concession intended for human supply in the capital: it fixes the exact extraction point, the authorized annual volume, and the validity of the right, data which become opposable to third parties and verifiable by any interested party in the public registry.
