ANA approves the wastewater treatment of the Miralago Condominium

The National Water Authority (ANA) certified the registration of Administrative Resolution RAE-ANA-DGAPS-0037-2026, which approves the design of the domestic wastewater sanitation system for the Condominio Miralago development, located in Managua. The certification was issued by the National Public Registry of Water Rights and Service Providers (RPNDAPS) and published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette, number 167, Tuesday, September 8, 2026, page 9052.

The resolution was issued on August 12, 2026, and notified on August 20 of the same year. The registration was recorded under Perpetual Number 0200, folios 247 and 248, Volume II of the Book of Registration of Permits and Authorizations maintained by the RPNDAPS.

Beneficiary and project

The approval benefits the Drinking Water and Sanitary Sewerage Company of the Altos de Motastepe Urbanization, S.A. (EMAPASMOSA), constituted by Public Deed number 1, signed on June 21, 2005, before the notary Melvin Antonio Estrada Canizales. The registration request was submitted on August 20, 2026, by Tamara Libertad Granados Etchegoyen, in her capacity as the general administrative proxy of the company.

The project corresponds to the Condominio Miralago development, located 0.6 kilometers northeast of the San Judas cemetery, south side of the Pista Suburbana, municipality of Managua, department of Managua. The resolution approves the calculation reports and construction plans of the sanitation system, duly signed and rubricated by the accredited instance of the ANA.

Regulatory framework

The ANA was created by provision of Law No. 620, “General Law of National Waters,” published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette, number 169, on September 4, 2007, and amended by Law No. 1046, published in La Gaceta, number 217, on November 23, 2020. The registrar acts in accordance with Administrative Resolution No. 140-2019, appointing the National Public Registrar of Water Rights, issued on December 20, 2019.

The certification was signed by Luis Fernando Yescas García, National Public Registrar of Water Rights and Service Providers, and was issued at the request of the EMAPASMOSA proxy, pursuant to the Fourth Resolve of the registered resolution, which orders publication in La Gaceta within a maximum period of fifteen (15) calendar days.

Scope of approval

Resolution RAE-ANA-DGAPS-0037-2026 constitutes the authorization of the descriptive and operational instruments of the development’s sanitation system. With its registration, the company is enabled to execute the approved design for the domestic wastewater management of Condominio Miralago.

The publication of this certification reinforces the administrative traceability of the real estate project before the water regulatory body, in a context where the ANA requires compliance with technical and documentary requirements for the approval of sanitation systems in urban developments.
