Almorox makes auditorium and sewerage fees final

The Almorox City Council has finalized five fiscal regulations establishing the fees for the use of the “Pedro Pablo Crespo” Municipal Auditorium, the sewerage and purification service, and the public prices for cultural and sporting activities. As no claims were filed against the initial approvals, the agreements of the Corporation’s Plenary are automatically finalized and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo number 164, dated August 28, 2026, signed by the mayor, José Martínez Vera, on August 24.

The regulations are processed under article 17.4 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries (Legislative Royal Decree 2/2004, of March 5) and article 56 of Legislative Royal Decree 781/86, of April 18. The files are subject to public inspection for thirty days from their insertion in the gazette.

Fee for the use of the Municipal Auditorium

The ordinance regulating the private use of the “Pedro Pablo Crespo” Municipal Auditorium, approved by the Plenary on April 30, 2026, taxes the assignment of this cultural public domain asset to residents, associations, and entities for cultural, social, and educational activities. Non-profit activities with free access are 100% subsidized, while profit-making activities pay a fee of 200 euros per occasional use, plus the cost of the sound technician.

Application with a minimum advance notice of 15 business days at the municipal Registry.
Prior deposit of 200 euros, returned after verifying the condition of the facilities.
Maximum duration of each event: 2 hours.
Infractions: use other than authorized, assignment to third parties without permission, or damages, resulting in the loss of the right to future assignments.

Sewerage and wastewater purification

The modification of the ordinance for the fee for the sewerage, treatment, and purification of wastewater service, approved by the Plenary on February 5, 2026, sets the quotas to be paid by the municipality’s users, with semi-annual billing:

Network connection: 70.00 euros per dwelling or premises.
Dwelling: 83.94 euros.
Commercial establishments (food, clothing, and offices): 109.65 euros; inactive, 54.82 euros.
Bars, cafes, hotels, and industries: 156.77 euros; closed, 78.39 euros.
Uses without human consumption (irrigation, swimming pools): 156.77 euros.

Discounts of 50% are maintained for permanently closed dwellings, large families, and retirees, pensioners, or widows, provided that the holder is registered on the census with a minimum seniority of three years and is up to date with payments.

Prices for cultural and sporting activities

The regulatory agreement on public prices for cultural activities in the auditorium, approved on April 30, 2026, establishes a price per person based on the cost of the service, from 4 euros (cost from 0 to 1,000 euros) up to 18 euros (cost from 4,001 to 4,500 euros). Tickets are sold in advance and only payment by card or transfer is accepted.

In the sporting field, the agreement approved on November 27, 2025, sets rates such as Pilates (€20), Swimming (€37), Adult Padel (€30), Summer Camp (€25), Aquaerobics (€25), and Gymnastics for seniors (€5). The modification of the public price for the use of facilities and sports schools, also from November 27, 2025, regulates the hourly rental of the indoor pavilion, tennis courts, indoor soccer, and soccer/athletics, with reduced rates for associations, and sports schools for soccer (€12/month) and children’s padel (€15/month).

Impact for residents

With these five regulations, the municipality of Almorox comprehensively organizes the usage regime of its cultural and sporting facilities and the collection of sanitation services. The final publication provides legal certainty to residents, associations, and users, who will have a clear tariff framework and discounts for vulnerable groups, while the city council ensures the coverage of the maintenance costs of its facilities.
