The Local Government Board of the Alhama de Granada City Council unanimously approved, in a session held on August 21, 2026, the Public Employment Offer (OPE) for the year 2026 and the modification of the one corresponding to 2025. The agreement, signed by Mayor Jesús Ubiña Olmos on August 25, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada, number 169, dated September 2, 2026 (reference BOP-GRA-2026-169002).
2026 OPE Positions
The 2026 offer includes four job positions, divided between civil service personnel and contractual staff:
- Civil service personnel, General Administration Scale:
- Management Technician (group A, subgroup A2), 1 vacancy.
- Library Administrative Assistant (group C, subgroup C1), 1 vacancy.
- Secretariat Administrative Assistant (group C, subgroup C1), 1 vacancy.
- Contractual staff:
- First-Class Electrician (category C2, special services), 1 vacancy.
Modification of the 2025 OPE
The same agreement modifies the Public Employment Offer for 2025, which is reconfigured following the amortization of the Audit Administrative Assistant position. The resulting 2025 offer includes:
- Civil service personnel: Local Police (group C, subgroup C1, Special Administration), 1 vacancy.
- Contractual staff: Head of Works and Maintenance (category C1, Special Administration), 1 vacancy.
Publication and Call for Applications
The agreement orders the publication of the Public Employment Offer on the Corporation’s notice board, on the City Council’s electronic headquarters, and in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada. The offered positions must be called for applications in execution of the offer within a non-extendable period of three years from the date of publication.
This action is supported by Article 91 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Regime, and Article 70 of the consolidated text of the Law of the Basic Statute of Public Employees, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30.
Against the resolution, which ends the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor’s Office within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Granada within two months.
The approval of the 2026 OPE and the readjustment of the 2025 one open new public employment opportunities in the municipality, both in technical and administrative positions as well as in special services and local security, in a process that will be governed by the principles of equality, merit, and capacity.
