Alcanar obre els ajuts de primera infància del curs 2025-2026

The City Council of Alcanar has opened the call for individual financial aid for early childhood services and family support for the 2025-2026 academic year, with a maximum budget of 41,000 euros. The Local Governing Board approved the call in the session of September 30, 2026, and the summary was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on October 7, 2026, with the reference CVE 2026-09171 and six pages. Interested parties have 20 business days to submit their application.

The call derives from the regulatory bases approved by the Local Governing Board in the session of July 29, 2026, published in the BOPT on July 31, 2026, and in the DOGC on August 10, 2026. The procedure is processed under a competitive bidding regime, and the summary is listed in the National Grants Database with identification number 932874 and call reference 5936/2026. The objective is to partially subsidize expenses derived from children’s attendance at early childhood services.

Budget and aid percentages

The maximum budget allocated in 2026 for these grants is 41,000 euros, assigned to budget application 320-4800005 (nursery school grants). The total amount may be exceptionally increased by a maximum of 10,000 additional euros, in accordance with article 58.2 of Royal Decree 887/2006, provided that the availability of credit is declared and the corresponding budget modification is previously approved.

The amount of each grant is calculated as a percentage of the effectively justified eligible cost for fees or enrollment, with the following maximums:

  • 50% for families with 2-year-old children (equivalent to I2) attending an early childhood service in the municipality of Alcanar.
  • 40% for families with children aged 0 and 1 (equivalent to I0 and I1) attending a center in Alcanar recognized by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
  • 10% for families with children aged 0 and 1 (I0 and I1) attending a center in the municipality of Alcanar.

In no case may the grant, alone or together with other subsidies or income, exceed the cost of the subsidized activity. If the total amount requested exceeds the budget availability, each application will be reduced proportionally.

Requirements and documentation

Natural persons who meet the following specific requirements, in addition to the general requirements of the subsidy regulations, may be beneficiaries:

  • That the child and, at a minimum, one of the parents or the legal guardian are registered as residents (empadronats) in the municipality of Alcanar.
  • That the child is between 0 and 3 years old during the eligible period.
  • That the child is enrolled or registered in an early childhood service located in Alcanar.
  • That the applicant is not subject to the prohibitions of Article 13 of Law 38/2003, General Law on Subsidies, and is up to date with tax obligations and Social Security.

The application form can be downloaded from the municipal website www.alcanar.cat and must be submitted to the General Registry of the Alcanar City Council, either in person or via the electronic office. The following must be attached: a document certifying the current account number, a certificate from the early childhood service specifying the type of attendance (half-day or full-day), a photocopy of the family book in the case of a first-time application, and responsible declarations stating that they are up to date with obligations to the AEAT, the Alcanar City Council, and Social Security, as well as that they do not incur the prohibitions to be a beneficiary.

Deadlines and justification

The deadline for submitting applications is 20 business days starting from the day after the publication of the call in the BOPT. If the application does not meet the requirements or does not include the required documentation, the interested party will be required to remedy the deficiency within ten business days; otherwise, it will be considered that they are withdrawing the request.

To collect the aid, the invoice or receipt issued by the early childhood service and the proof of payment certified by the same service must be presented within the first fortnight of the month following the expense. The lack of justification within the deadline or its defective presentation without correction may result in the loss of the right to payment or the requirement for reimbursement. Beneficiaries must also communicate any other subsidies or income financing the same expense and are subject to the financial control of the General Comptroller of the City Council.

The call is governed by Law 38/2003, Law 39/2015, Decree 179/1995, Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, and Royal Decree 887/2006. The data controller is the Mayor’s Office of the Alcanar City Council, with APDTIC PROFESIONALES SL as the data protection delegate. The announcement was signed by the mayor, Marc Chavalera Esbri, dated October 1, 2026.

These grants alleviate the monthly expense for families with young children enrolled in nursery schools or early childhood services in Alcanar, and are especially relevant for 2-year-old children, who receive the highest percentage of coverage. The schedule is tight: applications close 20 working days after publication in the bulletin, meaning interested families must gather the documentation without much margin.
