Grants of 260,000 euros for live music at Catalan festivals

The Department of Culture has opened the call for grants, under a competitive bidding process, for professional live music programming in festivals for the year 2026, with a maximum allocation of 260,000 euros. The call is published via Resolution CLT/3070/2026, of August 25, in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) no. 9743, of September 2, 2026 (reference CVE-DOGC-A-26239027-2026).

The call, identified with the code CLT547, publicizes the Agreement of the Board of Directors of the Office for Support of Cultural Initiatives (OSIC) adopted in the session of July 28, 2026. The document, signed by the president of the Board of Directors, Josep Maria Carreté Nadal, is part of the Strategic Grant Plan of the Department of Culture 2025-2028, with the objective of providing greater projection, presence, and dissemination of music in Catalonia.

Allocation and financing

The maximum allocation for the call is 260,000.00 euros, distributed between two annual periods:

• 208,000.00 euros charged to the OSIC budget for the year 2026, under budget items 7495D/4600001, 7495D/4610001, and 7495D/4690001.
• 52,000.00 euros charged to the budget corresponding to the year 2027, under the same budget items.

The allocation may be increased based on the applications received, for an amount not exceeding that of the call and subject to budget availability. In the event of surpluses in any of the items, the corresponding amount may be applied to the others based on the admitted applications.

Deadlines and processing

The period for submitting applications is from September 3 to 23, 2026, and on the final day, they may be submitted until 2:00 PM. Processing is exclusively electronic:

• Public administrations and dependent entities domiciled in Catalonia shall do so through the extranet of the Catalan administrations (eacat.cat), with signature via the T-CAT card.
• All other applicants shall do so through the Electronic Office of the Administration of the Generalitat (seu.gencat.cat), in the Gencat procedures section.

The call is governed by the general bases approved by Resolution CLT/961/2024 (DOGC no. 9131, of 3.27.2024), modified by Resolution CLT/970/2026 (DOGC no. 9638, of 4.2.2026), and by the specific bases published via Resolution CLT/3031/2026 (DOGC no. 9737, of 8.25.2026). Resolution and appeals

The instructing body is the administrator of the OSIC, who prepares the provisional resolution proposal and submits it to the Board of Directors, the body competent to resolve on the granting or denial. The resolution agreement must be issued and published within a maximum period of four months from the publication of the call; once this period has elapsed without a resolution, the applications are understood to be rejected by administrative silence. Proposals and resolutions are published on the Electronic Notice Board of the Generalitat Administration, and an administrative appeal (recurs d’alçada) may be filed before the head of the Department of Culture within a period of one month.

This line of grants represents a direct boost for the live music sector and for festivals developed through municipal initiatives in Catalonia, within the context of the implementation of the Artist’s Statute. The grants contribute to improving the working conditions and stability of cultural professionals and reinforce the projection and dissemination of Catalan music.
