Ahillones convoca una plaza de Encargado de Obras con tres aspirantes admitidos

The Ahillones City Council has approved the final list of admitted applicants for the call to fill a temporary labor contract position as Works Supervisor. The resolution was adopted by Mayoral Decree number 171/2026, dated October 28, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 209, dated October 30, 2026, under announcement reference 4306/2026. The same decree appoints the members of the qualifying board, which must convene on November 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the City Council Secretariat.

Three applicants and no exclusions

The final list of admitted candidates consists of three people, with none of the interested parties who submitted an application being excluded:

  • Jorge Cuenda Leal (DNI ****9289-Z).
  • Jesús Navarro Alzas (DNI ****6491-G).
  • Miguel Zapata Barragán (DNI ****2338-R).

The City Council specifies that the list contains personal data, complies with current legislation on the matter, and has the sole purpose of publicizing this phase of the procedure and serving as notification to the participants.

A merit competition, not an exam

The rules of the process were approved by Mayoral Resolution number 151, dated September 30, 2026, and were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 190, dated October 5, 2026 (announcement 3854/2026). The position is filled through a merit-based competition system, with a maximum score of 10 points: up to 6 points for professional experience (0.10 points per full month of service in the Administration or in the private sector, with similar functions) and up to 4 points for training and professional development.

The position corresponds to group C, subgroup C2, destination supplement level 18, with a specific supplement of 3,606.84 gross euros per year in 12 payments. Its functions include the organization and control of the work of the personnel under their charge and the maintenance of the municipal cemetery, including burials, exhumations, and the transfer of remains. The requirements included a Compulsory Secondary Education graduate degree or equivalent and a Class B driver’s license, and the examination fee was set at 20.00 euros.

The filling of the position is for the substitution, during the leave(s) for birth and childcare, of the worker with the right to job reservation. The process also includes a job bank for sick leave, vacations, and absences, valid until the substituted employee returns.

Composition of the qualifying board

The selection body will be chaired by M.ª del Carmen Guerrero Guerrero, Employment and Development Agent of the Ahillones City Council, with Rosario Santervás Martín, a civil servant of the Valverde de Llerena City Council, as a substitute. The titular members are:

  • Fermina Murillo Lechuga, permanent staff member of the City Council of Valverde de Llerena.
  • Ana Espinal Villarrubia, social worker of the City Council of Ahillones.
  • Alicia Izquierdo Marín, civil servant of the City Council of Ahillones.

Serving as alternate members are Rafaela Santiago Luján, public employee of the City Council of Granja de Torrehermosa; M.ª Victoria Jiménez Monterrubio, social worker of the City Council of Valverde de Llerena; and Andrés Espino Vizuete, civil servant of the City Council of Ahillones. The Secretariat is held by María del Carmen Sánchez Domínguez, secretary-auditor of the Town Hall, with Rocío Martín Arenas, secretary-auditor of the City Council of Granja de Torrehermosa, as alternate.

Appeals and publication

The decree concludes the administrative process. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor within one month from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Badajoz within two months. The resolution is signed by the mayor, M.ª del Rosario González Andrés.

The process thus enters its decisive phase for a small municipality, where the position of Works Manager concentrates personnel supervision tasks and essential services such as the municipal cemetery. The constitution of the tribunal on November 3 opens the calendar for the evaluation of merits of the three candidates and, consequently, the resolution of a substitution that affects the daily operation of municipal services.
