The Agost City Council has rectified a material error in its Public Employment Offer (OEP) for 2026 to include the reservation of one position for General Administration Technician for people with disabilities, in accordance with Article 59 of the TREBEP. The correction was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante number 174, dated September 14, 2026, via announcement 6980/2026.
The rectification, signed by Mayor Juan José Castelló Molina on September 10, 2026, corrects the omission detected in section 2.3.1 of the first clause of Mayoral Resolution number 2026-1415, dated August 27, 2026, which did not provide for the legal reservation of positions for people with disabilities.
Origin of the error and regulatory framework
The municipality’s 2026 OEP was approved through Mayoral Resolutions numbers 2026-1413, 2026-1414, and 2026-1415, all dated August 27, 2026, and announced in the BOP of Alicante number 166, dated September 2, 2026. Upon detecting the omission regarding the disability reservation, the Mayor’s Office issued Resolution number 2026-1487, dated September 10, 2026, under Article 109 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
The correction is based on Article 59 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees, which mandates the reservation of a quota of positions for people with disabilities in public employment offers.

Following the rectification, the 2026 OEP of Agost is configured as follows:

- Extraordinary offer (10 positions):
- 2 positions for Administrative Assistant (C1), open competition.
- 2 positions for Administrative Auxiliary (C2), open competition.

- Internal promotion (5 positions): 1 Administrative Assistant (C1), 1 Manager of the multipurpose social center (C2), 1 Municipal services inspector (C2), 1 Trades/Multimedia Official (C2), and 1 Chief Local Police Officer (B).
Effects on the selection process
The position of General Administration Technician reserved for persons with disabilities is part of the extraordinary public employment offer and directly affects the applicants of the selection process, who must adapt to the new configuration of the call. The announcement is made public for the general knowledge of interested parties for the purposes of Article 70 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, which regulates the publication of public employment offers.
Relevance of the correction
The rectification guarantees compliance with the legal reservation quota for persons with disabilities in access to local public employment, a requirement that state regulations impose on all administrations. With this correction, the Agost City Council ensures that its 2026 selection process respects the principle of equal opportunity and the minimum reservation established by Article 59 of the TREBEP, avoiding the nullity or challenge of the call due to formal defects.
