The Xunta pays fair price and late payment interest on six roads

The Galician Agency of Infrastructures has agreed to make the payment of the fair price and late-payment interest for the expropriations linked to six road works in the province of A Coruña. This is established by six resolutions of the Provincial Service of A Coruña, signed on 10 August 2026 by its chief, Felipe de la Vega Gándaras, and published in Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) number 153, of 13 August 2026. The holders of the affected assets and rights have ten business days to prove ownership of the bank account and be able to receive the transfer.

The payments are processed under Article 49 of the Expropriation Regulations of 26 April 1957, by virtue of the delegated authority by the Order of 7 September 2017, published in DOG No. 179 of 20 September 2017. The amount to be paid will be the result of deducting from the fair price the amount corresponding to the prior deposit, and payment will be made by bank transfer in favor of the person appearing as owner in the file.

Six works, six resolutions

The resolutions affect works of regional ownership in six municipalities and combine two types of payment: the fair price (by jury or by mutual agreements) and late-payment interest.

• 2026/5285 – fair price by jury for the roundabout at kilometre point 98+340 of the AC-550, in Porto do Son (code AC/19/076.06).
• 2026/5284 – mutual agreements for the improvement of the AC-406, section Val do Dubra–AC-444, in the municipalities of Val do Dubra and A Baña (code AC/22/023.02).
• 2026/5318 – late-payment interest for the emergency works to repair the damage from the January 2023 storm, in Valdoviño (code AC/23/004.02).
• 2026/5317 – late-payment interest for the works to reduce acid effluents in the surroundings of the Airíos cutting and the Eume viaduct, in As Pontes (code AC/22/108.09).
• 2026/5320 – late-payment interest for the improvement and rehabilitation of the stone bridge over the Grande de Baio river, in Zas (code AC/19/044.02).
• 2026/5319 – late-payment interest for the path on the AC-305, section Casilla-Araño-Burés, in Rianxo (code AC/19/005.06).

Ten business days to prove the account

For the payment to be made effective, the holders must provide a certificate of ownership of the bank account with the full number, including IBAN and BIC, within ten business days, in which all owners appear jointly as account holders. If the documentation is not submitted, the transfer is not possible, or ownership is not sufficiently proven, the amount will be deposited in the General Deposit Fund. In the event of a change in ownership of the property, documentation proving the transfer and the DNI of the new owner must be provided.

Where to submit the documentation

The documentation may be submitted through any of the following channels:

• in the registry assistance offices;
• in postal offices addressed to the Provincial Service of the Galician Infrastructure Agency of A Coruña (Vicente Ferrer Street, 2-8th floor, 15071 A Coruña);
• by electronic submission at the electronic headquarters of the Xunta de Galicia, procedure PR004A;
• by any of the means provided for in Article 16 of Law 39/2015, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

With these resolutions, the regional administration unblocks the payment of expropriation files linked to strategic works on the province’s road network, from the roundabout on the AC-550 in Porto do Son to the path on the AC-305 in Rianxo. For affected property owners, the ten working-day period is the key detail: those who do not prove their account in time will see their amount paid into the General Deposit Fund, which may delay collection.
