The Xunta registers the Transportes La Unión agreement until 2029

The Territorial Department of Pontevedra of the Ministry of Employment, Trade and Emigration of the Xunta de Galicia has ordered the registration and publication of the collective agreement of the company Transportes La Unión, SA, registered under the agreement code 36001322011982. The resolution was signed in Vigo on September 11, 2026, by the territorial director José Antonio Rodríguez Fachado and is published in BOPPO no. 180, Friday, September 18, 2026. The text is valid from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2029, with retroactive economic effects from January 1, 2025.
The request for registration entered the Territorial Department of Pontevedra on July 16, 2026, according to the statement of facts of the resolution itself. The labor authority acts in application of article 90.3 of the Recast Text of the Workers’ Statute Law, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, and article 8.3 of Royal Decree 713/2010, regarding the registration and deposit of collective labor agreements and accords. The competence of the territorial department derives from Decree 49/2024 and Decree 147/2024, which establish the organic structure of the ministry. The resolution states that no infringement of current legality nor clauses with stipulations detrimental to third parties were found.
Scope, validity and arrears
The agreement affects all personnel currently comprising the workforce of Transportes La Unión, SA in the province of Pontevedra, as well as those who join during its validity, and is binding for both technical and manual personnel.
- Validity: from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2029; entry into force occurs on the day of official publication.
- Economic effects: the revised remunerative concepts are retroactive to January 1, 2025, with the accrual of the corresponding salary differences.
- Newly created concepts: these do not generate arrears and are enforceable from July 1, 2026.
- Payment of owed amounts: maximum period of two months from official publication.
- Termination: with a minimum notice of two months before expiration; without termination, automatic renewal for periods of one year.
Salaries, working day and supplements
For 2025, the tables in effect as of December 31, 2024, are increased by 3.4%, with arrears from 01/01/2025. For 2026 and 2027, the attached tables agreed upon by the negotiating parties apply; for 2028, 2029 and onwards, the same increases as the Collective Agreement for Public Road Passenger Transport of the province of Pontevedra shall govern, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
- Working day: 40 hours of effective work per week; 1808 hours annually in 2026 and 1800 hours in 2027 and onwards.
- Vacations: 30 calendar days annually, which increase to 31 in case of splitting.
- Extraordinary bonuses: 30 days of table, denominated as July, Christmas, and March, payable before July 22, December 20, and March 15.
- Night shift bonus: 25% of the base salary for those working between 22:00 and 6:00 hours.
- «Compensation for availability» bonus: 36 gross euros for each rest day on which the company requires services, in 2026.
- «Availability» bonus: 10 euros for each hour of working day span that exceeds twelve, with 2.50 euros per fifteen-minute interval.
- Collective occupational accident insurance: insured capital of 40,000 euros per person.
- Seniority: from 5% at two years to 60% at 29 years.
New category, joint commission and equality
The text creates the professional category of Driver License B and A, with its own base salary in the attached tables, and maintains the supplement of 20% of the base salary for the Driver-Collector when simultaneously performing driving and collection functions.
- Joint Commission: two representatives of the company and two staff delegates; address at Avenida da Estación, s/n, Bus Station, ground floor, Pontevedra.
- Resolution of discrepancies: submission to the Galician Interprofessional Agreement (AGA).
- Equality and harassment: equality plan and zero-tolerance protocol against sexual harassment, harassment based on sex, and against LGBTI people, in accordance with Royal Decree 1026/2024.
- Disciplinary regime: Arbitral Award of January 19, 2001 (BOE no. 48, of February 24, 2001).
The agreement was signed in Pontevedra on September 4, 2026, by the economic representation of the management of Transportes La Unión, SA —Francisco Javier Lorenzo González, Leandro Arruti Baqueiro, and José Antonio Prol González— and by the staff delegates Javier Piñeiro Pazos, María Valentina González González, and José Luis Santomé Rua, all three from UGT. Against the resolution, which does not end the administrative route, an appeal for reversal may be filed before the general secretariat of Employment and Labor Relations within one month.
The publication closes a negotiation of more than a year and has an immediate effect on the staff payroll: salary differences since January 2025 must be paid within a maximum of two months, which sets the deadline for mid-November 2026. For road passenger transport workers in the province of Pontevedra, the text also establishes a stable framework until 2029 regarding working hours, supplements, and equality guarantees.
