EU clears Blackstone-led takeover of Eurowind Energy wind group

The European Commission decided on 25 August 2026 not to oppose the Blackstone/Norlys/EWH/Eurowind Energy concentration, declaring it compatible with the internal market under the EU Merger Regulation. The decision was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 28 August 2026.

EU Commission clears Electrolux and Midea home appliance joint ventures

On 5 August 2026 the European Commission declared the notified concentration Electrolux/Midea (case M.12454) compatible with the internal market under Article 6(1)(b) of the EU Merger Regulation. TIL, Hutchison Ports, TERCAT abandon port merger after Commission probe

The notifying parties withdrew the notification of concentration M.11811 on 4 August 2026 and demonstrated that the deal between TIL, Hutchison Ports and TERCAT was abandoned, ending the in-depth review opened by the European Commission in December 2025. The withdrawal was published in C/2026/4427 of 13 August 2026.
