España ratifica el Protocolo 16 del Convenio Europeo de Derechos Humanos

Las Cortes Generales completaron la autorización de la ratificación del Protocolo n.º 16 al Convenio Europeo de Derechos Humanos, cuyo instrumento se publicó en el BOE el 17 de septiembre de 2025. Los tribunales españoles podrán recabar opiniones consultivas del Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos sobre cuestiones de principio.

Spain ratifies Protocol 16 to the European Convention on Human Rights

The Cortes Generales completed the authorization of the ratification of Protocol No. 16 to the European Convention on Human Rights, whose instrument was published in the BOE on September 17, 2025. Spanish courts may request advisory opinions from the European Court of Human Rights on questions of principle.
