The City Council of Zarza de Montánchez has opened the public call to select the person who will hold the position of Titular Justice of the Peace in the municipality. The call is approved by Mayoral resolution and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres (BOP) number 0191, corresponding to Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026-4681. Applicants have a period of fifteen business days to submit their application.
The announcement occupies Section I - Local Administration, City Councils section, on pages 22897 and 22898 of the provincial gazette, and was signed in Zarza de Montánchez on September 29, 2026, by the mayor, Joaquín Rivas Palomino. The Mayoral resolution approving the call is the starting document of the procedure, which is conducted in accordance with the rules of Regulation 3/1995 on Justices of the Peace and the Organic Law of the Judiciary.
The call details the requirements candidates must meet, the form and locations for submitting applications, and the available deadline, as well as a specific exception for those already serving as Justice of the Peace. The text expressly refers to the state regulations governing access to the function and to Law 39/2015 regarding the submission of documents to the Administration.
Requirements to be proven by applicants
The announcement requires candidates to fully comply with the conditions provided for in the regulations governing the position:
- Possess Spanish nationality, pursuant to Article 1 of Regulation 3/1995 on Justices of the Peace.
- Be of legal age, under the terms of the same Article 1.
- Not be subject to any of the causes of incapacity established in Article 303 of the Organic Law of the Judiciary.
- Not be subject to the incompatibilities and prohibitions regulated in Articles 389 to 397 of the Organic Law of the Judiciary and in Article 14 of Regulation 3/1995 on Justices of the Peace.
Form, location, and deadline for submitting applications
The procedure is organized around four specific points:
- Applications must be submitted using the form provided by the City Council of Zarza de Montánchez.

Exception for those already holding the office

Pursuant to Article 28.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, these applicants will only be required to submit an application to the City Council.
