Zamora distributes 310,000 euros among 45 sports clubs for 2026

The Zamora City Council has approved the final distribution of 310,000 euros in grants to the municipality’s sports clubs for the 2026 fiscal year. The resolution, signed by the Councilor for Sports and president of the valuation body, Manuel Alesander Alonso Escribano, and dated September 29, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora No. 115, of October 2, 2026 (reference R-202602301). The distribution covers 45 entities and is organized into two lines: 170,000 euros for top-level teams and 139,700 euros for grassroots sports and individual athletes.

The call is governed by the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies to sports clubs in the municipality of Zamora, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora No. 63, of June 4, 2025. The file, identified by number 1182/2026, was initiated by a proposal from the delegated Councilor for Sports on January 23, 2026, and the call was approved on May 20, 2026, for an amount of 310,000 euros charged to budget application 341.02-489.59. The summary was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora No. 65, of June 3, 2026, with a period of fifteen business days to submit applications.

The procedure is based on competitive bidding, in accordance with articles 10.2, 11, 12, 13, and 14 of the General Subsidy Ordinance of the Zamora City Council, and the aid is included in the Strategic Subsidy Plan 2025-2026 approved by Decree of December 17, 2024, within strategic line 4 for Sports Promotion. A Mayoral Decree of May 19, 2026, modified the amounts to align them with the 2026 municipal budget. The file includes credit retention 2026.2.0004197.000, dated June 2, 2025, and expenditure authorization 2026.2.0019958.000, dated May 20, 2026.

170,000 euros for top-level teams

Line 2, endowed with 170,000 euros, is distributed among four clubs, with a distribution coefficient of 0.1935 based on the score obtained:

• Balonmano Zamora (G49170780): 46,044.27 euros.
• Baloncesto Zamora (G49030281): 65,904.34 euros.
• Zamarat (G49148984): 30,893.93 euros.
• River (G49263841): 27,157.46 euros.

78,536.59 euros for grassroots sports

Line 1, sub-line 1, has 78,536.59 euros and a distribution coefficient of 0.0273. The highest amounts are:

• Natación Zamora (G49258494): 10,129.28 euros.
• CD Actividades Náuticas (G49134844): 6,500.00 euros.
• Natación San José Obrero (G49282650): 6,000.00 euros.
• Montañera Zamorana (G49007719): 5,337.97 euros.
• Salvamento Dragones (G49185531): 5,296.39 euros.
• Durius Kayak Zamora (G49265655): 4,526.79 euros.
• Natación Castilla (G49137029): 4,457.44 euros.
• CD Tenis Zamora (G49105968): 3,572.70 euros.
• Triatlón Duero (G49271398): 3,386.85 euros.
• Rítmica Mapecca (G49157225): 3,282.93 euros.

Completing the sub-line, among others, are Badminton Zamora (3,249.95 euros), Piragüismo Duero (3,215.85), Arqueros Zamora (3,058.02), CD Duero (3,036.67), Piragua Ciudad de Zamora (2,759.50), Amigos del Karate (2,459.16), Actividades Deportivas Zamora (2,012.41), Zamora Corre (1,636.01), Hípico Zamora (1,497.03), Trailpunks (1,477.80), Zamorano de Taekwondo (1,318.94) and Atletismo Zamora (324.90). Canoa Kayak (G49202047) appears with zero points and no assigned amount.

61,163.41 euros for sub-line 2

Sub-line 2 of Line 1 has 61,163.41 euros, with a coefficient of 0.2617. The main beneficiaries are:

• San Lorenzo (G49016108): 6,371.28 euros.
• Pádel Duero (V49237134): 6,000.00 euros.
• La Amistad 2000 (G49190481): 6,000.00 euros.

Dismissed appeals and pending procedures

The provisional distribution resolution was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora no. 100, of August 28, 2026, opening a ten-day period for appeals. CD Zamorano de Taekwondo (G49264492) filed appeals on September 11, 2026, regarding expense documentation and sporting results, which were dismissed by the 2026 Sports Grants and Scholarships Valuation Commission, considering that they had sufficient time from the publication of the call until the end of the correction period, August 5, 2026. The competent body for the granting is the delegated councilor for Collection, Income, Treasury, Intervention, and Treasury, according to Delegation Decree 2023-8434, of July 27, 2023, and beneficiaries must justify the amounts received within ten business days from the granting.

The distribution closes the cycle of municipal aid for Zamoran sports and directly affects the viability of youth academies and teams competing in federated categories. The clubs and their families are already aware of the final amounts, which in several cases are below what was requested, and they have a tight deadline to justify the expenditure.
