Por FactBox Admin

The Zafra City Council has approved the definitive list of admitted and excluded candidates for the provision of one Assistant Electrician position as permanent labor staff, through a free competitive examination, and has called the first exercise of the examination phase for September 14, 2026. The resolution, signed by the mayor Juan Carlos Fernández Calderón, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 154, of August 13, 2026, as Notice 3201/2026.

The definitive list arrives after the ten-business-day period to correct defects or omissions, opened after the provisional list, approved by resolution of the Mayor’s Office 3308/2025, of November 6, 2025, and published in BOP number 215, of November 11, 2025, has expired. The selection process is governed by the rules approved by resolution of the Mayor’s Office 2827/2024, of July 26, 2024, published in full in BOP number 149 with notice 3733/2024, of August 5.

The procedure complies with Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, approving the Regulations on Organization, Operation and Legal Regime of Local Entities. In accordance with the seventh additional provision of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on Personal Data Protection, the identity data of the candidates are partially published, with the fourth to seventh digits of the identity document.

Eleven admitted and two excluded

Of the 13 candidates presented, the resolution of the Mayor’s Office 2160-2026, of August 10, 2026, leaves the definitive list with 11 admitted and 2 excluded. The exclusions are due to the lack of documentation required in the call’s rules:

  • José Carlos Berrocal Hernández: does not present the required qualification or equivalent, in accordance with rule 2.1.
  • Pedro José Serrano Antunez: does not present the employment history, in accordance with rule 3.1.

The 11 admitted candidates are Francisco Becerra Jaramillo, Javier Calderón Arrantes, Antonio Cuéllar Hormigo, Manuel Delgado Martín, Adria Escudero Compte, Jorge Escudero Jané, Percy Luis Espinoza Callisaya, Daniel Guerrero Herrera, Francisco José Hernández Bayo, Felipe Picón Cárdenas and Francisco Vega Rodríguez.

Selection Board

The resolution also approves the composition of the Selection Board, with the following full members and alternates:

  • President: full member Andrés Pro Muñoz; alternate Manuel Valenzuela Salamanca.
  • Secretary: full member Jorge Dorado Rodríguez; alternate Patricia María Gordillo Toro.
  • Board members: full members Manuel Vizuete Delgado, José Venancio Garrido Rodríguez and Francisco Javier Adamez Segovia; alternates Juan José Lavado Salmerón, Ana Eva Rodríguez Robles and Marcelino Tinoco Candelario.

First exercise on September 14

The first exercise of the competitive examination phase, provided for in section seven of the terms, will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in conference room 2 of the central and exhibition pavilion of the Zafra Fairgrounds (Badajoz-Granada road, s/n, 06300, Zafra). The selection panel will meet at 9:00 a.m. the same day. Candidates must attend with their national identity document and a blue pen, and the resolution will also be made public on the municipal notice board and on the electronic office of the Zafra City Council.

With this publication, candidates now have the definitive dates of the process and the panel that will evaluate them, which provides legal certainty to the selection process. The filling of the Assistant Electrician position as permanent staff, together with the job pool that will be created, strengthens local public employment in Zafra and will make it possible to meet future electrical maintenance needs of the municipality.
