Yunquera de Henares approves the guidelines to urbanize Sector S-1

The Yunquera de Henares City Council has initially approved the guidelines for the awarding of the Urbanization Action Program (P.A.U.) and the selection of the urbanizing agent for the area designated as Sector S-1 of the municipality’s Subsidiary Regulations. The agreement, signed by Mayor Lucas Castillo Rodríguez on August 14, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 158, dated August 19, 2026.

The decision opens a public information process of thirty days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement, during which the file may be consulted and allegations, suggestions, or claims may be submitted.

Regulatory Framework and Procedure

The approval is processed in accordance with articles 86.3 of the Execution Activity Regulations of the Recast Text of the Law on Land Use Planning and Urban Activity, approved by Decree 29/2011, of April 19, and 49 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime. Both regulations govern the selection procedure for the urbanizing agent and the public exhibition of urban management instruments.

Sector S-1 is part of the urban development planned in the municipality’s Subsidiary Regulations, and its urbanization constitutes a key step for the expansion of residential and activity land in Yunquera de Henares.

Deadline and Form of Participation

During the public information period, the file will be available for consultation at the physical offices of the Yunquera de Henares City Council, located at Plaza Mayor, number 1, 19219 Yunquera de Henares. Persons who may consider themselves interested parties may appear and formulate as many allegations, suggestions, or claims as they deem appropriate.
