Yunquera de Henares opens the public exhibition for allegations regarding the concession of the Municipal Wake Chapel

The Yunquera de Henares City Council has opened for public review the basic project and the economic-financial study for the future works concession for the construction and operation of the Municipal Wake Chapel. The Mayoral Resolution of September 28, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara (BOP) No. 186, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, grants a one-month period to submit allegations. The announcement is inserted in the City Councils section under the heading “Agreement to submit the Municipal Wake Chapel works to public information.”

The file is processed as a works concession contract, a formula that allows a private company to finance, execute, and operate a municipal-owned infrastructure for a determined period. In this case, the object is the municipality’s future wake chapel, a public service facility whose construction and management would be transferred to the concessionaire. The resolution is signed by the mayor, Lucas Castillo Rodriguez, and is dated September 28, 2026.

One month period for allegations

The public exhibition will last for one month, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province, that is, from October 1, 2026. During that period, the two documents may be examined by any interested party at the municipal offices.

• The Basic Project of the works corresponding to the future concession.
• The economic-financial study of the concession.

Both will be available for consultation at the municipal offices during the indicated period, so that any allegations, observations, or suggestions deemed appropriate can be formulated.

Legal basis of the procedure

The resolution is supported by state public procurement regulations. The agreement expressly invokes:

• Article 247.3 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts.
• Paragraphs 3 and 4 of Article 248 of the same regulation.
• Article 249.2 of the aforementioned law.

This legal basis places the file in the preparatory phase of the works concession contract, prior to the tender, in which the Administration must submit the project and its economic study to public information before definitively approving the file.
