Xove announces the prizes for the XXXVIII Bolos Tournament with four leagues

The Xove City Council announces the prizes for the XXXVIII Tirada de Bolos, a local interest subsidy line intended to encourage citizen participation in a sport with a long tradition in the municipality. The call is approved by Mayoral Resolution No. 2026-1446, dated October 9, 2026, and its extract is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo No. 237, dated October 16, 2026, with reference R. 2760 and identifier BDNS 934483.

Regulatory framework and official publication

The announcement is included in the subsidies section of the National Subsidy Database (BDNS) and is disseminated under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general subsidies law. The full text of the call is available in the BDNS under number 934483.

The regulatory bases were approved within the framework of the General Subsidy Ordinance of the Xove City Council, published in the BOP No. 136, dated June 16, 2025. The announcement bears the signature of the mayor, José Demetrio Salgueiro Rapa.

Four leagues and participation requirements

The competition is organized into four leagues:

• Men’s Senior League: open to any person, with no age limit.
• Women’s Senior League: open to any person, with no age limit.
• Under 16 League: mixed character, for boys and girls under 16 years old; those who turn 16 during the championship must remain in this league until its conclusion.
• Seniors League: for men and women who have reached 60 years of age on the date of the first throw and who waive the right to compete in the Women’s or Men’s Senior League.

To participate, it is mandatory to fill out the registration form and present a DNI (ID card) to verify the data. In each throw, the coordinating staff will prepare a list of participants with the score obtained.

Prizes per throw and final prizes

The call distinguishes two types of prizes. The prizes per throw are distributed among the four leagues:

• 1st prize: 25 euros (Men’s Senior, Women’s Senior, and Seniors) and 15 euros (Under 16).
• 2nd prize: 20 euros (Men’s S., Women’s S., and Seniors) and 10 euros (Under 16).
• 3rd prize: 15 euros (Men’s S., Women’s S., and Seniors) and 5 euros (Under 16).
• 4th and 5th prize: 10 euros.
• Best round: 5 euros in each league.

The final prizes, of a higher amount, are as follows:

• 1st prize: 200 euros (Men’s S., Women’s S., and Seniors) and 100 euros (Under 16).
• 2nd prize: 150 euros (Men’s S., Women’s S., and Seniors) and 75 euros (Under 16).
• 3rd prize: 100 euros (Men’s S., Women’s S., and Seniors) and 50 euros (Under 16).
• 4th and 5th prize: 50 euros.
• 6th, 7th, and 8th prize: 25 euros.
• Best round: 50 euros in each league.

The amount of the two prizes is net. According to RD 439/2007, of March 30, none of the prizes are subject to withholding. If the granted amount were lower than the authorized credit, the remaining balance would be canceled, which must be stated in the proposal report issued by the managing body.

Tax regime and information obligations

The prizes are included within the scope of application of Law 38/2003 and the Xove City Council is a body obliged to provide the BDNS with information regarding their granting. In general, they are subject to IRPF according to article 75.2 of RD 439/2007, with the State Tax Administration Agency being one of the bodies receiving the data registered in the National Grants Database.

However, pursuant to article 4 of RD 130/2019, the City Council is not obliged to provide information on the granting resolutions or payments when the annual amount granted to the same beneficiary does not exceed 100 euros.

The call consolidates a sporting event with nearly four decades of history in Xove and guarantees a stable circuit of prizes for all categories, from those under 16 to those over 60. For neighbors and participants, the announcement establishes the rules of the game, the amounts, and the applicable tax regime, while the publication in the BDNS allows for the consultation of the full text and verification of the transparency of the municipal aid.
