Government appointed Potrebica as president and Kristić as member of the Port Authority of Dubrovnik

The Government of the Republic of Croatia, at its session held on August 27, 2026, adopted the Decision on the dismissal and appointment of the president and member of the Management Board of the Dubrovnik Port Authority. The decision was published in the Official Gazette (Narodne novine), number 97 of September 2, 2026, under item 1179.

By the Decision, the current president Kristijan Pavić is dismissed from duty at his own request, as is member mr. sc. Marko Potrebica. In their places, mr. sc. Marko Potrebica has been appointed as president and dr. sc. Miho Kristić as a member of the Management Board.

The Decision was adopted based on Article 31, paragraph 4 of the Act on the Government of the Republic of Croatia (“Official Gazette”, No. 150/11, 119/14, 93/16, 116/18, 80/22, and 78/24) and Article 93, paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Act on Maritime Domain and Seaports (“Official Gazette”, number 83/23).

The new leadership of the Management Board consists of:

  • mr. sc. Marko Potrebica – president of the Management Board

  • Kristijan Pavić – former president (dismissed at his own request)
  • mr. sc. Marko Potrebica – former member

The Decision was signed by the Prime Minister mr. sc. Andrej Plenković, p.p.

Significance for the maritime sector

The Dubrovnik Port Authority manages one of the most important Croatian ports on the southern Adriatic, which is key for passenger, ferry, and nautical traffic, as well as for the tourist and economic activity of the Dubrovnik region. Changes in the composition of the Management Board directly affect port management, investment plans, and daily operations, and are therefore of interest to both the maritime sector and the local community of Dubrovnik.

The decision enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette, whereby the newly appointed leadership assumes duties in the management of the port infrastructure.
