Viveiro publishes the final list of admitted candidates for the Statistics position

The Viveiro City Council has approved the final list of persons admitted and excluded from the selection process for the position of “Statistics Administrative Assistant” (SX6.4/037), with a total of 48 admitted applicants and two excluded. The resolution of the Mayor’s Office, signed in Viveiro on October 7, 2026, by the mayor María Carmen Gueimunde González and endorsed by the secretary María Luz Balsa Rábade, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 240, dated Tuesday, October 20, 2026, with the official reference R. 2740. The same announcement lists the admitted applicants for the performance of the first exercise of the opposition phase on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

The convened position corresponds to the post in the job list “Statistics Administrative Assistant” of the OMIC (SX6.4/037), in the General Administration scale, Administrative sub-scale, through the opposition system and in the open access category. The call and the regulatory bases were approved by the Mayor’s Office on July 14, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 165, on July 21, 2026.

The provisional list was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 210, on Monday, September 14, 2026, with a period of ten business days to correct the indicated deficiencies. The approval of the final list, in accordance with general base 9.3, implies the acceptance or rejection of the corrections submitted by the excluded applicants.

48 admitted and two excluded

The resolution includes 48 admitted persons and two exclusions that remain after the correction process:

• Sonia Fernández López, for failing to prove possession of the required academic qualification (general base 2.4, 4 b and 6 b)).
• Lucía Parrilla del Río, for failing to properly complete Annex I of the application (general base 5.4).

On the other hand, the Mayor’s Office accepted the corrections of nine initially excluded applicants, who now appear as admitted:

• Miriam Abad Girón, Raquel Álvarez Gómez, Tania Aguiar Fernández, Jennifer Moure López, and María Magdalena Ramos Siaba, who corrected the completion of Annex I.
• Laura Álvarez Cillero, Lorena Bermudez Testa, María Dolores Pérez Abad, and Tatiana Santos Pérez, who presented an authentic copy of the certificate of possession of the Celga required in the specific bases.

Seven applicants must take the Galician language test

The final list distinguishes between persons exempt and not exempt from the Galician language accreditation test. Seven of the 48 admitted applicants appear as not exempt and must take that test:

• Mónica Díaz García
• María Luz Louzao Vázquez
• Pilar Martínez Martínez
• Agostiño Reigosa Lombao
• Iván Vázquez Lestegas

The remaining 41 are exempt from the Galician language test. The resolution warns that appearing on the list of admitted candidates does not imply the recognition of possessing the required requirements, such that any person who does not prove them will forfeit the rights derived from their participation in the procedure.

Tribunal constituted on October 22 and exam on November 5

The same agreement appoints the members of the qualifying tribunal and sets the process calendar:

• Presidency: Javier Balseiro Fernández, General Administration technician and director of the Department of the Viveiro City Council; substitute Begoña Teijeiro Campo, general secretary of the Barreiros City Council.
• Titular members: María Carmen Riveira Martínez, Sabela Chao Pino and María del Mar Varela Leal.
• Substitute members: Carlos Ramón Méndez Fernández, María Rosario San Isidro Franco and María del Carmen Orol Castro.
• Secretariat: María Luz Balsa Rábade, titular, with Marta González Arias as substitute.
• Constitution of the tribunal: Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 09:00 hours, at the premises of the Viveiro City Council.
• First exercise of the opposition: Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:00 hours, at Avenida de Cervantes, Claustros de San Francisco, first floor, UNED Classrooms of Viveiro.

The resolution will also be published on the digital notice board, accessible via www.viveiro.gal, and on the physical notice board of the City Council. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the final list before the presidency of the Viveiro City Council within one month from the day following its publication in the BOP, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Lugo within two months.

The publication closes the administrative purification phase of the process and opens the selective calendar proper: the 48 admitted candidates already have a date and place for the first exercise, while the two excluded persons exhaust through this route the possibilities of participating in a call that was resolved with nearly half a hundred candidacies for a single position.
