Vinaròs tenders the paving of rural roads for 204,194 euros

The Vinaròs City Council has approved the paving project for several rural roads in the municipality, corresponding to the Camino Carretes phase, with a tender budget including VAT of 204,194.54 euros. The decision was adopted by Mayoral Decree number 2026-3377, dated August 11, 2026, and has been published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón number 108, dated September 8, 2026, under reference 03827-2026.

The resolution, electronically signed on August 25, 2026, by the mayor, Maria Dolores Miralles Mir, represents a step forward in improving the network of rural roads within the municipal district, a key infrastructure for both residents and the agricultural activity of the area.

A project drafted by municipal technicians

The paving project was drafted, following a municipal commission, by two registered technicians in July 2026:

• Mr. Rafael A. Ibáñez Sánchez-Robles, Architect (COACV no. 7,699).
• Mr. Víctor Monfort Centelles, Public Works Engineer (Col. no. 25,071).

The document is approved for the purpose of executing the lot or phase corresponding to Camino Carretes, within the municipal plan for the paving of rural roads.

Avocation of competence

The decree also includes the avocation of the competence that had been delegated to the Local Government Board by Mayoral Decree no. 2024-0150, dated January 17, 2024. The competence returns to the Mayor’s Office-Presidency, as the delegating body, for the purposes of this file.

Appeals and deadlines

Against the administrative act, which is final in the administrative route, interested parties may file the following appeals:

• An optional appeal for reversal (recurso de reposición) before the same body, within one month from notification.
• A contentious-administrative appeal before the Court of First Instance of Castellón, Contentious-Administrative Section, within two months.

The publication is carried out in the BOP of Castellón and, additionally, on the municipal notice board (electronic office) for general knowledge.

Impact for the municipality

The tender for the paving of Camino Carretes is part of a broader plan to improve the rural road network of Vinaròs, which directly affects farmers and residents of the district’s areas. The execution of this work will improve the accessibility and safety of roads that support intense agricultural traffic and will represent an investment of more than 200,000 euros in local infrastructure.
