Vimianzo aproba inicialmente a ordenanza de convivencia e ocio público

The Plenary of the Vimianzo City Council, in an ordinary session on August 19, 2026, agreed to initially approve the Ordinance regulating coexistence and leisure in public spaces of the municipality. The decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña, number 172, on September 9, 2026, via announcement 2026/5810.

The new regulation aims to regulate the use of public space and the development of leisure activities, directly affecting citizens and the activities carried out in the streets and squares of the council. The initial approval now opens a period of public participation before its definitive entry into force.

Period for allegations

In compliance with the provisions of article 49 of Law 7/1985, regulating the bases of local regime, a period of 30 business days is opened, counted from the insertion of the announcement in the official gazette. During this period, any natural or legal person may examine the file and present their allegations and suggestions.

  • Period: 30 business days from publication in the BOP.
  • Place of consultation: Secretariat of the Vimianzo City Council.
  • Recipients: any interested natural or legal person.

Definitive approval

The announcement specifies that, once the period for allegations has passed without any claims being made, the ordinance will be considered definitively approved. In this way, the regulation could enter into force without the need for a new plenary agreement if no objections are registered during the public exhibition period.

The document bears the signature of the mayor, Mónica Rodríguez Ordóñez, and is dated in Vimianzo on September 3, 2026.

Relevance for the neighborhood

The ordinance on coexistence and leisure in public spaces is a key instrument for organizing the daily life of the municipality, as it establishes the rules for the use of streets, squares, and common areas. Its approval affects both the residents and the people and entities that carry out leisure activities in public spaces, therefore the period for allegations constitutes an opportunity for citizens to participate in the final configuration of the regulation.
