Villarrubia de los Ojos approves 910,000 euros for the Municipal Theater

The City Council of Villarrubia de los Ojos has definitively approved an extraordinary credit file and credit supplement for a total of 910,000 euros, destined for the construction of the Municipal Theater and the acquisition of furniture for the Casa Jijones. The agreement, processed without objections, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 180, dated September 18, 2026, with announcement number 2985 and secure verification code guJFufgxW/F1mvzxe5FU.

The publication is carried out for the purposes of article 169.1, by referral of 179.4, of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. The file is definitively approved as no objections were presented during the public exhibition period.

The announcement was signed in Villarrubia de los Ojos on September 16, 2026, by the Mayor, Encarnación Medina Juárez, and was processed by the Head of the B.O.P. Office, Pablo Salazar Sánchez, on September 17, 2026.

A municipal theater of 794,714 euros

The main item of the file corresponds to the construction of the Municipal Theater, which goes from having no initial allocation to having an extraordinary credit of 794,714.11 euros. The detail of the additions to expenditure applications is as follows:

Furniture and equipment for Casa Jijones

Along with the additions, the file incorporates a credit supplement for the item linked to the property known in the announcement as Casa de Sánchez Jijón:

• Total supplements: 90,000.00 €.

Financing with a repayable advance from the Provincial Council

The budget modifications are financed through credit operations derived from the Repayable Advance of the extraordinary financial fund of repayable advances to Local Entities of 2026:

Deadlines and means of appeal

An administrative appeal may be filed against the agreement before the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla-La Mancha based in Ciudad Real, in accordance with Article 171.1 of the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries:

• Deadline: two months from the day of the publication of the announcement, according to Article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Administrative Litigation Jurisdiction.
• The filing of the appeal shall not, by itself, suspend the effectiveness of the contested act or agreement, pursuant to Article 171.3 of the same regulation.

The final approval unlocks the execution of two long-pending investments in the municipality: the future Municipal Theater, endowed with nearly 795,000 euros, and the equipping of the Casa Jijones, which adds 115,286 euros in furniture and an additional 90,000 euros in supplements. The financial backing arrives via a repayable advance from the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real for one million euros, so that the City Council may tender and execute the works without waiting to have its own resources available, although it must face the long-term repayment of the loan.
