Villaquilambre announces grants of up to 120 euros for Early Childhood books

The Villaquilambre City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of León the call for financial aid for the acquisition of textbooks and/or school supplies intended for students enrolled in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education in the municipality’s public schools during the 2026/2027 school year. The call, with official reference BOP-LE-2026-176015, appears in bulletin number 176, dated September 15, 2026, and has a total budget of 35,000 euros.

The grants are awarded on a non-competitive basis and are governed by the Regulatory Bases approved by the Local Government Board of the City Council, as well as by Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves its Regulation. The credit is allocated to budget item 06.326.00.480.00 of the municipal budget for the 2026 fiscal year.

Amounts per grade

The individual amount of the aid varies depending on the grade in which the student is enrolled:

• 1st year of Early Childhood Education: 100 €
• 2nd year of Early Childhood Education: 120 €
• 3rd year of Early Childhood Education: 120 €

Beneficiary Requirements

Those who meet the requirements established in the regulatory bases may access these grants, including:

• Being enrolled and studying in any of the three years of the second cycle of Early Childhood Education in a public school in the municipality of Villaquilambre during the 2026/2027 school year.
• The entire family unit must be and remain registered in the Municipal Register of Inhabitants from the end of the call period until the conclusion of the school year.
• Being up to date with tax obligations and Social Security, as well as all payments to the municipal treasury.
• Having all the necessary materials required by the school, textbooks and/or school supplies, in perfect condition at the beginning of the course.

Deadline and Method of Submission

Applications may be submitted in person at the Registry of the Villaquilambre City Council, from Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, or electronically through the City Council’s Electronic Office, as well as at any of the locations provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. The submission period will remain open from September 15 to October 16, 2026, both inclusive.

The payment of the grants will be made via bank transfer to the account number indicated in the application, once the processing is completed. The extract of the call will also be published on the notice board and virtual board of the City Council’s Electronic Office, as well as on the notice boards and websites of the affected schools. The announcement appears signed by the Mayor-President, Vicente Álvarez Flórez.
