Villapalacios approves grants of 30 euros per student for school supplies

The Villapalacios City Council has approved the regulatory bases for school supply grants for the 2026/2027 academic year, with a maximum budget of 1,000 euros and an amount of 30 euros per enrolled student. The call for applications is published in the BOP of Albacete on Monday, September 28, 2026, number 113, and opens a period of five business days to submit applications. The measure is aimed at families with children schooled in the municipality.

The approval was formalized through resolution number 278, dated September 17, 2026, issued by the Mayor’s Office of Villapalacios. The announcement appears in the Third Section, Local Administration, of the provincial bulletin, with the official reference BOP-Albacete-2026-299218 and announcement code 24.122.

Purpose and amount of the grant

The Villapalacios City Council justifies the call based on the need to maintain and, if possible, increase the school community of the C.P. CRA Los Olivos-Sección Villapalacios, and to relieve the finances of families facing the expenses of the start of the school year.

• Amount per beneficiary: 30 euros per enrolled boy or girl, for school supplies and books.
• Maximum budget for the call: 1,000 euros, charged to municipal own funds.
• Recipients: underage students enrolled in the local educational center.
• The granting is subject to the existence of adequate and sufficient credit.

Requirements and documentation

The bases establish a series of conditions that applicants, acting as fathers, mothers, or legal guardians of the student, must meet:

• Be Spanish or a foreigner with legal residence in Spain.
• The application must be submitted by the father, mother, or legal guardian of the student.
• Written commitment to enroll the son or daughter in the Villapalacios school from age 3 through primary school, including the third cycle.
• At least one member of the family unit must be registered (empadronado) in the municipality; failure to comply requires the full refund of the grant amount.

Along with the application, adjusted to the official model in the annex, a photocopy of the applicant’s DNI or NIE, a photocopy of the family book or document accrediting birth or adoption, a registration certificate (certificado de empadronamiento) of a member of the family unit, the written commitment, and the bank details of the father or mother must be provided.

Deadline, processing, and regulations

Applications shall be addressed to the Mayor of Villapalacios and submitted to the General Entry Registry of the city council during the five business days following the publication of the bases in the BOP of Albacete, in accordance with article 16.4 of Law 39/2015. During this period, the call will remain posted on the municipal notice board and on the bandomóvil.

Once the deadline has expired, the mayor will issue a resolution with the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants, which will be published on the notice board, the website, and the bandomóvil, with two business days for claims or the correction of errors. If there are no claims, the provisional list will automatically become final; subsequently, a mayoral resolution will be issued creating the list in order of application submission until the budget is exhausted.

For matters not provided for, the following apply: Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies Law; Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21; Law 39/2015, of October 1; Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Regime; Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18; and the Municipal Budget Execution Bases for 2026. The call for applications reaches the families of Villapalacios right at the start of the school year and with an express procedure: only five business days to gather the documentation and register the application. Since it is an aid granted in order of submission until the 1,000 euros are exhausted, those who let the deadline pass or submit an incomplete application may be left out of the subsidy.
