The Villa del Río City Council (Córdoba) has appointed Ana María Pizarro Cachinero as a career civil servant of the General Administration Scale, Administrative Assistant Subscale, Group C, Subgroup C2, thereby consolidating a position within the municipal staff. The appointment is agreed upon by Mayoral Resolution number 1207/2026, dated August 28, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 175, dated September 10, 2026 (reference BOP-A-2026-3012).

The decision, signed by the mayor-president Jesús Morales Molina, takes effect from September 15, 2026, and is part of the selection process convened by the Council itself to fill two Administrative Assistant positions through an open competitive examination system.

Origin of the selection process

The procedure began with Mayoral Decree number 1837/2025, dated November 6, 2025, which approved the rules and the call for the provision, via open competition, of two career civil servant positions as Administrative Assistant, included in the Public Employment Offer of the Villa del Río City Council corresponding to the 2025 fiscal year.

The rules were disseminated through the following official channels:

  • Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba, number 225, dated November 24, 2025.
  • Official State Gazette, number 305, dated December 20, 2025.

Selection and proposal of the tribunal

Upon completion of the selection process, the Qualifying Tribunal constituted for this purpose, in a session held on June 29, 2026, agreed to submit to the Mayor’s Office the appointment proposal in favor of Ana María Pizarro Cachinero (ID *****016Q), having passed all the exercises of the competition and obtained the highest score in accordance with the rules of the call. The interested party submitted the supporting documentation proving that all required requirements were met in a timely and proper manner.

Effects and taking office

The resolution assigns the new civil servant to the position of Administrative Assistant, with the functions and remuneration provided for in the City Council’s Job Position List. She is required to take office within one month starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP and the receipt of the notification, forfeiting her right to do so if she fails to do so without justified cause.

The agreement is based on articles 55 et seq. and 62 of the consolidated text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee (Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30), as well as article 21.1.h) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, which grants the Mayor’s Office the competence for the appointment of civil service personnel. The appointment will be entered into the City Council’s Personnel Registry.

With this appointment, the Villa del Río City Council definitively consolidates a position within its civil service staff, providing stability to a key role in municipal administrative management. Filling the position through an open competitive examination guarantees access to public employment in accordance with the principles of merit and capacity, and reinforces the Council’s operational capacity in serving the citizenry.
