Vilalba opens the modification of three municipal tax ordinances to the public

The City Council of Vilalba is keeping open to the public, for 30 business days, the modification file of three fiscal ordinances approved by the Plenary in the ordinary session of September 24, 2026. The official announcements, signed by the mayor Marta María Rouco Seoane on September 28, 2026, are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 229, corresponding to October 7, 2026, with references R. 2660, R. 2661, and R. 2662. The three affected ordinances

• Fiscal Ordinance number 11, regulating the tax for the provision of the water cycle sanitation or drainage service, processed under file no. 4255/2026 (R. 2660).
• Fiscal Ordinance number 16, regulating the tax for the provision of the water supply service, file no. 4254/2026 (R. 2661).
• Fiscal Ordinance number 5, regulating the tax on mechanically propelled vehicles, file no. 4372/2026 (R. 2662).

All three were initially approved by the City Council Plenary in the same ordinary session of September 24, 2026, so that their processing advances in parallel and shares the same public exhibition calendar. The modification of the sanitation tax and the water tax affect the integrated water cycle, while that of the vehicle tax affects the tribute that taxes the ownership of cars and other mechanically propelled vehicles.

Deadline, allegations, and effects

During the period of 30 business days, interested parties may examine the file in the municipal offices and present any claims they deem appropriate. If none are presented, the modification is definitively approved without the need for a new plenary agreement. The publication in the provincial gazette is the requirement that activates the calculation of the period, so the reference date for residents is the day following the insertion of the announcements.

Other fiscal agreements from the same plenary

In the same ordinary session, the Plenary approved the Agreement regulating the public price for enrollments at the Theater School, processed under file no. 122/2026 (R. 2663). The course takes place over nine months with weekly sessions and the rates are established as a single price for the entire period:

• Children’s group (6-10 years): €45.00 per student per course.
• Youth group (11-17 years): €67.50 per student per course.
• Adult group (18 years and over): €90 per student per course.

The holding of classes is subject to a minimum of five registered students; if this is not reached, no public price will be claimed. The agreement enters into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo.
