Vilafant opens the 2026 subsidies for AFA and local entities

Por FactBox Admin

Vilafant City Council has called for subsidies for the 2026 financial year aimed at the Parents’ Associations (AFA) of educational centres and at social and cultural organisations in the municipality, with a maximum amount of €4,500 for each of the two lines. The extracts of the resolutions, signed by the mayor Montserrat de la Llave Alegrí, were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona (BOP) number 156, of 14 August 2026.

Both calls are governed by Law 38/2003, of 17 November, general subsidies, and will be awarded under a non-competitive concurrence regime. The procedural instruction corresponds to the People Services Area and the resolution to the Local Government Board. The grants are charged to budget item 2026 4300 4800007, and the full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS) with identifiers 924391 and 924441.

Subsidies for AFAs of educational centres

The first call, with CVE BOP-2026_0_156_7294, aims to support the educational, cultural, leisure and participation activities that the AFAs of public educational centres carry out during the school year. Eligible for subsidy are extracurricular activities of an educational nature, leisure or traditional activities aimed at students, excursions, outings and camps, teaching and sports materials, talks open to families and free children’s shows.

The maximum subsidy per organisation will be €1,500, distributed as €900 fixed amount and €600 variable amount, which will be awarded according to criteria such as the percentage of pupils associated with the AFA, contributions to the educational centre or collaboration in the “Vilafant, VilaEducadora” day.

Subsidies for social and cultural organisations

The second line, included in the edict with CVE BOP-2026_0_156_7308, is aimed at social and cultural organisations in the municipality to support the cultural, social, traditional and citizen participation activities they carry out throughout the year. Ordinary operating expenses of the organisations and those derived from the organisation of their activities are considered eligible.

In both cases, the grants are voluntary and eventual in nature and do not generate any right in future calls.

Requirements, deadlines and procedures

Organisations that meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries:

  • Be registered in the Municipal Register of Entities of Vilafant with a minimum seniority of two years.
  • Have correctly justified the municipal subsidies previously granted, if applicable.
  • Have programmed and carried out at least two own activities during the year in the municipality.
  • Not incur any of the prohibitions in article 13 of Law 38/2003.
  • Hold the negative certificates from the Central Register of Sexual Offenders for people with regular contact with minors, when legally required (social and cultural entities).

The deadline for submitting applications runs from 16 July to 30 August 2026, both inclusive, and they must be submitted electronically using the standard form on the electronic office of the Vilafant City Council. With the application, among other documents, the certificate of bank account ownership and the responsible declarations of being up to date with tax obligations and with the Social Security must be provided. The Administration will have three months from the end of the deadline to resolve and notify, and notifications will be made electronically.

With these two calls, Vilafant maintains direct support for families, schools and the local associative fabric, at a time when these groups are preparing the programming for the new school year and autumn. The AFAs and interested entities have until 30 August to submit their applications.
