Por FactBox Admin

The Vila-seca City Council has opened the public call for grants for families with children enrolled in privately owned nursery schools in the municipality during the 2026-2027 academic year. The call, which reserves a total of 28,500 euros, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on August 28, 2026, with the official reference CVE 2026-08032 (pages 1-9).

The purpose of the aid is to cover the expense caused by the payment of monthly fees for the private nursery school where children in the first cycle of early childhood education are enrolled. The call is governed by the bases published in the BOPT CPV 2020-6867, dated October 5, 2020, and has been registered in the National Grants Database with the code 926146.

Economic allocation and financing

The total amount reserved is 28,500 euros, charged to the budget item 3021-32699-48000. The allocation is divided between two fiscal years:

  • 6,000 euros corresponding to the 2026 budget.
  • 22,500 euros corresponding to the 2027 budget.

The granting of the subsidies is subject to the existence of adequate and sufficient credit at the time of the resolution, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the revised text of the Law regulating local treasuries.

Who can be a beneficiary

Families from Vila-seca with children enrolled in privately owned nursery schools in the municipality will be eligible as beneficiaries. The main requirements are:

  • That at least one member of the family or cohabitation unit is registered as a resident in Vila-seca with a minimum seniority of one year at the time of submitting the application.
  • To have one or more children enrolled in a private nursery school in the municipality during the current school year, meaning centers that provide the first cycle of early childhood education authorized by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
  • That the income of the family unit from the previous year does not exceed the maximum economic limit set in Annex I of the bases.
  • In the case of large or single-parent families, to prove this through the corresponding title issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
  • To comply with the general requirements of article 13.2 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies.

Submission of applications and processing

Applications can be submitted through the electronic office of the Vila-seca City Council or at the Citizen Service Office (OAC), in accordance with article 14 of Law 39/2015. The submission period extends throughout the 2026-2027 school year, from September to August, both inclusive.

The documentation to be attached includes the DNI/NIE of all members of the family unit, the nursery school certificate justifying enrollment, the latest income tax return, and the corresponding responsible declarations. The instructing body is the administrative staff of the Municipal Enrollment Office, and the resolution corresponds to the Local Governing Board, which must resolve within a maximum period of six months from the submission of the application. The granting regime is non-competitive, and the call is signed by the municipal secretary, Ignacio Río Santos, dated August 24, 2026.

The call represents a direct relief of educational expenses for families in Vila-seca with children enrolled in the first cycle of early childhood education, one of the educational periods with the highest cost for households. With an endowment distributed between the 2026 and 2027 fiscal years, the grant reinforces municipal support for family reconciliation and access to quality early childhood education in the municipality.
