Vila-sacra opens grants for books and school materials for the 2026-2027 academic year

The Vila-sacra City Council has announced family grants for the acquisition of books and school materials for the 2026-2027 academic year, aimed at families registered in the municipality with children enrolled from I3 to 2nd year of BAT. The call, approved by mayoral resolution on September 6, 2026, is published in the summary of the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona (no. 175, of September 10, 2026, edict 7883, CVE BOP-2026_0_175_7883).
The call is framed within Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and its summary has been published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of this regulation. The purpose of the guidelines is the granting of family aid for books and school materials for the 2026-2027 academic year, with a unit amount of 60 euros per student, charged to budget item 321.48002.01 of the municipal budget for the 2026 financial year.
Beneficiaries and requirements
The grant is aimed at all families registered in the municipality with children enrolled in educational centers from I3 to 2nd year of BAT. To access it, the following requirements must be met:
- That the fathers, mothers, or legal guardians are registered in Vila-sacra with a minimum seniority of 3 months at the time of submitting the application.
- That the minor is registered with the father, mother, or legal guardian and enrolled in an educational center.
- That the fathers, mothers, or legal guardians are up to date with their tax obligations to the City Council.
Persons who received subsidies in the previous call and did not fulfill the obligation of attendance or payment of the part that corresponded to them cannot be beneficiaries.
Deadline and documentation
The application submission period begins on September 1 and ends on September 30, 2026. The call will be published on the website and on the City Council’s notice board to ensure effective knowledge. To formalize the application, the following must be presented:
- The enabled application form, correctly completed and registered at the General Registry of the City Council.
- Photocopy of the DNI/NIE or passport of the father, mother, or legal guardian.
- The receipt or invoice for the payment of school materials or books.
- If the applicant is a legal guardian, the documentation proving it; if they are a separated or divorced parent, proof of custody.
Only one application can be submitted per boy or girl. If the documentation is incorrect or incomplete, the City Council will request rectification; if the interested party does not do so within ten business days, it will be considered that they have withdrawn the request.
Processing and payment
The processing of the grant will begin upon the submission of all required documentation and, once the justification has been studied, a resolution will be made by mayoral decree. The call is subject to the publication of the extract in the Official Provincial Gazette, and the competent body to approve it is the mayor’s office, which may delegate this power. The resolution is signed by the mayor, Maria Corbairan Isern, on September 6, 2026.
This call represents direct support for families in Vila-sacra to cope with the expenses of the start of the school year, in a context of rising school costs. With a submission period open throughout the month of September, the grant of 60 euros per student aims to alleviate the economic burden on households with school-age children, from early childhood education to baccalaureate.
