Vialidad licita pavimentos rurales en la ruta D-845 Salamanca–Zapallar por 725 millones

The Road Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works, through its Coquimbo Region, has opened the public tender for the conservation of rural pavements on route D-845, section Cruce D-81 (Salamanca) – Zapallar. The notice was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile no. 44,586, on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in Section IV of tenders, competitions, and summons, with official reference CVE 2891534.

Budget, term, and financing

The work covers the sector between kilometer DM 1,500.00 and DM 3,700.00 of route D-845, in the commune of Salamanca, province of Choapa, region of Coquimbo. The economic and administrative parameters of the call are:

  • Official budget: $725,437,804.
  • Execution term: 240 days.
  • Financing: sectorial.
  • Contract No.: 438927.
  • Public Market ID: 5261-28-O126.

The call is part of the rural pavement conservation program executed by the Road Directorate, aimed at maintaining the trafficability of secondary roads that connect inland towns within the provinces.

Requirements to participate

Contracting companies registered in the MOP Registry that prove the following combination of specialties and category may submit bids:

  • 1 O.C. Earthworks.
  • 3 O.C. Pavements, category 3rd B.

The terms and conditions are available exclusively on the portal www.mercadopublico.cl. The notice specifies that the sale of documentation or the delivery of physical terms does not apply, meaning the entire process is handled electronically.

Process calendar

The schedule set in the official publication establishes four consecutive milestones:

  • Inquiries: until November 4, 2026.
  • Agency responses: until November 10, 2026.
  • Closing of technical and economic bid reception: November 13, 2026, at 09:30 hours.
  • Opening of technical and economic bids: November 13, 2026, at 10:30 hours.

The notice is signed by the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Public Works of the Coquimbo Region, representing the ministry.

Interest for contractors and communities

With nearly 2,200 linear meters of intervention and a budget exceeding 725 million pesos, the call targets a narrow segment of the road works market, but one of high sensitivity for the inhabitants of the interior valley of Choapa. Route D-845 connects Salamanca with Zapallar, and its conservation affects the transport of agricultural cargo, access to basic services, and the daily connectivity of the rural communities in the area.

The requirement for a 3rd B category in pavements, combined with earthworks, restricts participation to contractors with registered experience with the MOP, which concentrates competition among a small group of regional and national companies capable of executing 240 days of continuous work. Interested parties have less than a week to submit inquiries to the agency, with the deadline expiring on November 4.
