Roads Department tenders engineering study for Easter Island routes

The Road Directorate of the Valparaíso Region, under the Undersecretariat of Public Works of the Ministry of Public Works, calls for the public tender PP No. 15 Digital for the engineering study for the improvement of several routes on Easter Island, Phase I. The notice is published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile, No. 44,542, Friday, September 4, 2026, in Section IV of Tenders, Competitions, Summons, and Loss of Documents, with reference CVE 2863713.

The process will be carried out entirely electronically through the platform www.mercadopublico.cl, where the bidding terms are already available. Scope of the study and requirements

The object of the contract is the Engineering Study of the Road Network of the Province of Easter Island, aimed at improving the road connectivity of the island. Consulting firms registered in the MOP Registry that meet the required specialty and category may participate:

• Area: Civil Engineering.
• Specialty: 4.9 Road Works (Urban and Rural).
• Category: First.

Funding comes from Sectoral Funds, and the contract type is based on a series of unit prices offered by the consultant, with adjustment for CPI.

Budget and schedule

The estimated budget amounts to $1,387,535,240, VAT included, and the execution period is 730 days. The process schedule includes the following stages:

• Deadline for inquiries: Monday, September 28, 2026, until 4:00 PM.
• Responses and clarifications: Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 5:30 PM.
• Closing for receipt of technical and economic bids: Wednesday, October 14, 2026, until 9:00 AM.
• Opening of technical bids: Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
• Opening of economic bids: Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

The openings will take place at the facilities of the Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Public Works of the Valparaíso Region, at Cochrane Street 751, Valparaíso.
